Kim Kardashian Has Blunt Bangs in New Instagram Pics

At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve seen pretty much every possible hairstyle and beauty look Kim Kardashian could ever try. From butt-length blonde waves to shoulder-skimming black lobs, (and literally a thousand styles in between), Kim has served up every ponytail, braid, and multi-colored shade in the hair world. And yet, I was still full shocked when I opened up my Insta and saw Kim with thick, blunt-cut bangs, à la Cleopatra.

Just an hour ago, Kim posted three photos of herself to Instagram to promote her new KKW Beauty lipstick lip sets that are launching on February 3rd and 5th.

“The Perfect Gifts for Valentines Day!” she captioned the pics, which showed Kim wearing incredibly thick, blunt-cut bangs. “She kinda looks like Cher now,” noted one Cosmo editor (proof: Cher has the same bangs).

The bangs are the work of hairstylist Chris Appleton, who wrote “She BANGS 💥 What do you think to @kimkardashian with bangs?” in the caption of his Kim photos. And honestly? I’m super into them.

And yes, I know, I know—there’s almost a zero percent chance that Kim’s new bangs are actually real (they’re almost definitely a clip-in hair piece), I’m still super into this recent hair transformation, and would very much like for her to chop her hair IRL to start a blunt-bang trend. But for now, we’ll have to suffice with dreamy photos, instead.

Mic Check, Kim K. Has Blunt Bangs Now

There’s a celebrity hair change happening every other day. At least, it feels like there is, and today is no exception. Kim Kardashian’s blunt bangs made their social media debut marking a major switch-up for the KKW Fragrance and Beauty mogul. Of course, with any Hollywood ‘do, the question has to be asked of whether or not the look is real, and that’s the same in Kardashian’s case.

Kardashian is, after all, no stranger to switching up her hair. Whether she’s going platinum blonde with her real locks, donning a long white wig, or faking a blunt bob, she’s basically done it all. The new blunt bangs, though? Those are a bit different from her most recent looks. For the past year, Kardashian has almost always worn sleek, long hair with a middle part or pulled back into a tight pony. While she does change it up sometimes with waves or a dash of color (like her gorgeous pink hair), bangs are not something she does often.

That’s kind of what makes the photos of Kardashian’s blunt bangs so great. They’re a totally unexpected look, and with their length hitting just above her brows, they also give her a totally retro, Bettie Page kind of vibe.

The bangs were created by one of Kardashian’s staple member of her glam team, Chris Appleton. The talented stylist took to his own Instagram account to ask fans what they thought of the star’s look. Appleton, however, made no mention of whether or not he’d cut the bangs or if they were a wig or clip-in piece. Given Kardashian’s penchant for wearing wigs, though, the most likely assumption is that Appleton created faux bangs somehow for the KKW Beauty shoot.

As for how fans feel about the bangs? They seem to love them. Comments on Kardashian’s Twitter are all about how different the look is for the star and how incredible the blunt chop is.

Fans called Kardashian’s new look a "vibe."

While others just commented on how good she looks with the style.

Meanwhile, some had some seriously clever responses.

Kardashian wouldn’t be the first person to try out faux bangs in her family. In fact, little sister Kylie Jenner has tried out the look a few times. Most recently, she sported the look at a casual trip to the zoo in 2017. Of course, there was the moment she appeared at the MTV VMAs in 2015 rocking the same blunt fringe.

Of course, you can’t leave out Kris Jenner. The matriarch of the Kardashian and Jenner clans was the most recent member of the family (other than Kim) to try bangs. In an Instagram post from just a few weeks ago, Jenner was rocking shaggy bangs and a bun. However, the style turned out to be faux bangs just like Kylie Jenner’s previous looks.

Kim Kardashian’s blunt bangs will probably turn out to be a wig or a clip-in piece or a trick with her own hair, but regardless of whether or not the bangs are real, they still look amazing.

Chuck Norris to Host 5K Where Everyone Is to Dress Up As Chuck Norris

Chuck Norris is so fast he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head, according to one of the more famous Chuck Norris jokes. Though that kind of speed may make it impossible to run with him, you can run a new race where you’ll be greeted by him at the finish—with your very own Chuck Norris high five.

On May 4, 2019, the inaugural CForce Chuck Norris 5K is offering Chuck Norris fans the experience of a lifetime, and attempting to break a world record in the process. The race is hoping to set the record for the most people dressed as Chuck Norris at one time.

You’re encouraged to create your own Chuck Norris costume—prizes will be awarded for best male, female, and kid’s costume—to do so, but if you’re lacking on Norris gear, that’s no reason to skip out: With registration, you’ll get a “Chuck style t-shirt, a fake beard, and an awesome belt buckle,” according to the race website, so you’ll fit right in.

Additionally, the race will donate all proceeds to Kickstart Kids, an organization founded by Norris to help build students’ character development through martial arts, and the Mercy Project, a nonprofit working to end child slavery in Ghana, Africa.

Early race registration for participants starts at $30 for adults and $25 for kids, and superfans can even purchase a VIP package that includes breakfast with Norris to fuel up before the race. As of publication, participants from 16 different states have already registered, a BCS Marathon race director told Runner’s World .

The race will take place in College Station, Texas, but the official course is still in the works. The race will kick off with words of encouragement from Norris, and he will be waiting at the finish to high five racers.

“We are not responsible for any high five injuries,” the race website states.

18 Black-Owned Beauty Brands That Need to Be on Your Radar

As a woman of color, finding makeup formulated for my skin tone can be difficult to say the least. A lot of brands see brown foundation and somehow think gray or orange is the perfect accompanying undertone (spoiler: it’s not). And don’t even get me started on “nude” lipsticks. Even though many popular drugstore brands have made efforts to step up their shade ranges and formulations, it’s still important to celebrate and support black-owned brands that make products specifically for women of color. Keep reading to see which black-owned brands are slaying the beauty game right now.

Kanye West Flaunts Wild Tiger-Striped Hair Makeover — See Pic

The latest shocker on Kanye West’s head isn’t a MAGA hat — it’s a bunch of tiger stripes! See the rapper sport a wild new ‘do the morning after The Game rapped explicit details about his wife, Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West, 41, proves you can do a lot with a buzzed head, as he’s now rocking tiger stripes — or, at a certain angle, a crop circle. The “I Love It” rapper debuted his new hairdo while strolling into his Calabasas office on Jan. 25, and it’s one of his most intricate looks yet. Before the haircut, he’s been rocking cropped blonde hair as of late, so it’s quite a change of scenery. See the makeover below! A MAGA hat, or even a “Kanye For President” cap that sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian wore just the day prior, wasn’t blocking the fresh cut, so you can get a good look.

It’s not the first time Kanye gave his barber the green light for a dramatic transformation, as he dyed his hair pink in Feb. 2018 — the same time his wife Kim Kardashian, 38, was also rocking the bubblegum color! His history of hair transformations is almost as long as The Life of Pablo tracklist, as we’ve also seen Ye experiment with yellow and pink, tribal patterns, arrows, and so forth.

But as always, Ye’s facial expression remains decidedly ambiguous in the picture below. So, it’s hard to tell if he’s bothered by The Game’s new lyrics that were teased just the night prior. The rapper dropped some NSFW details about Ye’s wife, who once upon a time dated The Game, according to TMZ.  “I held Kim Kardashian by her throat n****/I made her swallow my kids until she choked ni***,” The Game rapped in the unreleased track, which Shalynda Jai (assistant to record producer Eric Bellinger) shared to Instagram on Jan. 24. Well, at least Kanye got an apology…sort of. “I should apologize, ’cause ‘Ye my folks ni***,” The Game added.

Not a fan of Kanye’s latest hair experimentation? There’s plenty of throwback Ye photos to reminisce on in HollywoodLife’s gallery above!

This wouldn’t be Jenner’s first eye product in her line (she also had Kyliner and Kybrow) but it would mark the first time she’s released mascara or false eyelashes. Rumors have also been swirling for months that she’s planning on releasing her own line of skincare this year called Kylie Skin. Jenner even hinted that she’s launching a new “project” soon on her Twitter. “I have something really exciting i get to share soon with you guys! I’ve been cooking this up for awhile i can’t wait to share my new project alreadyyy,” she Tweeted on January 21.

The beauty brand Colourpop, which is made by Seed Beauty—the company that produces Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty—also just announced this week the launch of their very first mascara. The $8 mascara is called BFF and comes in seven shades ranging from black to yellow.

Some fans suggested that the wand and formula looks like the limited edition mascara released by Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty last month, as part of her smoky eye set. However both KKW and Kylie Cosmetics have long insisted that their formulas differ from Colourpop’s less-expensive products, even though they’re made by the same laboratory.

ColourPop's First Ever Mascara Is Finally Here, and It's Only $8

ColourPop’s First Ever Mascara Is Finally Here, and It’s Only $8

ColourPop is dropping something big this week. The makeup brand — which was founded in 2014 and has built a reputation for affordable pricing on colorful, pigmented formulas and collaborations with top beauty bloggers — is finally making its first foray into mascara.

The BFF Mascara ($8) is launching on Jan. 25, and with its hourglass-shaped spoolie made from nylon and its “blackest black” formula, ColourPop promises lengthened, lifted, and volumized lashes that will neither flake nor clump. Its price is already on a par with the makeup company’s existing products (it will only cost $8 when it goes on sale), and we predict it will also live up to predecessors and the brand’s loaded promises.

ColourPop has also hinted to POPSUGAR that there is something else in the works that will be announced at 6 p.m. ET today on its Instagram. Whatever it is, like the mascara, we’re ready for it.
