Luke Skywalker’s ‘original’ Star Wars lightsaber to hit auction block

Star Wars fans who are willing to drop big bucks on memorabilia from the movie saga have a new collectible to try to snatch: Luke Skywalker’s famed lightsaber.

The “original” artifact from the series’ “A New Hope” film, will be auctioned off next week in Los Angeles, California, according to a news release from auction house Profiles in History.

Auctioneers believe the famed Jedi weapon, used by Mark Hamill, could fetch for $150,000 to $200,000.

Hamill, however, warned prospective buyers on Twitter Tuesday, writing that he didn’t use just one lightsaber when he filmed the Star Wars movies, and thus, the lightsaber up for auction might not be as rare as advertised.

“Be Advised-There was no ONE lightsaber I used in the films, but many, MANY, both for myself & my stunt-double,” Hamill tweeted. “Multiple duplicate back-up props are commonplace during production-When the handle ridges were cutting my hands, they even made a few w/ soft sponge ridges! #BuyerBeware.”

The lightsaber — “from the first Star Wars from [the] collection of set decorator Roger Christian” — will be auctioned off from Dec. 11 through 13.

Scott Disick Gets Dad-Shamed Over 3-Year-Old Son’s Long Locks: ‘Cut His Hair’

Leave the little guy alone! Reign looks cute as can be with his long hair, but some fans want Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian’s son to chop it all off. See for yourself!

Kourtney Kardashian, 39, and Scott Disick, 35, must be used to the criticism by now, but we bet it’s beyond annoying when fans come after their kids. The pair share three adorable little ones — Mason, 8, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 3 — and their youngest has been drawing attention lately for his long locks. Even though Reign’s hair looks super sweet grown out, whether it’s down around his shoulders or pulled back into a ponytail, that still hasn’t stopped Scott’s Instagram followers from slamming the latest shot of his son. “Dream boy,” the father of three captioned his Dec. 4 pic, which featured Reign sitting on a white couch eating a jelly donut.

But instead of honing in on how risky it is to munch on a messy dessert like that on a pristine couch — wearing a white long sleeve, no less — many of Scott’s social media followers were focused on Reign’s hair. He had some wisps around his face, and the rest in a messy bun. Aw! “I thought that was Penelope,” one user wrote, while another added, “Looks more like a dream girl.” Others got even more blunt and to the point, writing, things like “Cut that hair already,” and, “Whoops, looks more like your daughter.”

This isn’t the only time that Scott has been dad-shamed for his son’s look! When Kourtney posted a picture with Reign by the pool, rocking long wet hair and orange swim trunks, fans had the same negative response.

If people don’t have anything nice to say, why say anything at all? Reign is adorable, and if this is how he likes to wear his hair, then what’s the big issue?

George H.W. Bush’s Funeral: Former President Honored By Family, Friends, & Other Presidents In DC

A massive crowd of family, friends, and Washington, DC’s elite attended former President George H.W. Bush’s funeral on Dec. 5, and the outpouring of love and grief was remarkable.

After days of mourning the fallen president in his home state of Texas and at the US Capitol rotunda, George H.W. Bush was given a proper send-off by family, friends, politicians, and fellow presidents in Washington, DC. The late president, who died on November 30 at age 94, was honored at a funeral at the National Cathedral as his colleagues bid him a fond farewell.

Bush’s American flag-draped casket left the Capitol around 10:30am ET with a full military send-off, and salutes from his distraught family, including son, former president George W. Bush, and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush. His motorcade made its way to the National Cathedral, where it was greeted by hundreds.

The five living presidents — Bush, Jimmy Carter, Bill ClintonBarack Obama, Donald Trump — paid their respects to one of their own at the emotional service, standing in solidarity despite their very different political leanings. Though it was clear that Trump was not exactly welcome at the funeral (seeing the Trumps sit down awkwardly next to the Obamas was downright uncomfortable), everyone remained cordial, as it was the late president’s wish to have the current commander-in-chief attend. The five living first ladies — Bush, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Melania Trump, and Rosalynn Carter — also attended, as well as former vice presidents Joe Biden, Dan Quayle, and Al Gore; current VP Mike Pence was also there, seen sharing a conversation with Chelsea Clinton.

Sophie Turner Calls Out Publication Saying Nick Jonas’ Marriage to Priyanka Chopra Is Fake

Sophie Turner is sticking up for her future in-laws.

The 22-year-old Game of Thrones star saw an article that was tweeted out by The Cut with the headline, “Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s Love for Real?” and the tweet read, “That’s right: Nicholas Jonas married into a fraudulent relationship against his will this past Sunday, December 1, and I’ll tell you why I think so.”

Sophie quote tweeted the message and wrote, “This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bullsh*t.”

If you don’t know, Nick and Priyanka got married (in two separate ceremonies) this weekend. Sophie and her fiance, Joe Jonas, were in attendance at the festivities.

‘Mrs. Maisel’ cast went to Disneyland while filming in Paris

Some of the cast members of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” went to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland Paris, while filming overseas.

“Disneyland Paris is such a weird place because, and I’ve said this before, it’s a celebration of America in a place, in a country that kind of hates Americans,” Michael Zegen told Page Six during the “Mrs. Maisel” press junket last week, explaining that there are “old-timey baseball” billboards and American chocolate shops on the main street of the amusement park.

“We don’t have to keep talking about Disneyland,” Zegen laughed, while Tony Shalhoub added that he didn’t join them because he’d been to Disneyland in America.

In the Season 2 premiere of the Emmy-winning Amazon show, Midge Maisel and her father Abe must travel to Paris to find her mother, who moved there on a whim. Rachel Brosnahan, Marin Hinkle and Tony Shalhoub were all flown out for filming and we’re told they also brought Zegen out for five days despite his character never actually being in Paris.

“I was very thankful because I was left behind and I was just like, ‘What am I going to do now?’” Zegen said.

Shalhoub told us he spent most of his off-time with his wife visiting museums and walking around the city.

One thing everyone did while in Paris though was over-indulge in cheese and bread.

“I’ve never eaten so much bread [or] chocolate croissants,” Hinkle told us.

George H.W. Bush's Will Leaves George and Jeb Bush In Charge

George H.W. Bush‘s will has been filed in probate court and it lists two of his sons — former President George W. Bush and former Governor Jeb Bush — as executors.

The will, filed in Texas Tuesday — obtained by TMZ — used to list Barbara as the executor, but when she died on April 17, it was turned over to George and Jeb. The two brothers are also in charge of Barbara’s estate.

As for H.W.’s financial situation, the docs don’t get specific — everything was put into a trust — but the amount is listed as more than $50,000 … a number that surely downplays 41’s actual worth.

H.W. died in Texas Friday … his health was declining in recent years and was in and out of the hospital several times. He was admitted to ICU at the Houston Methodist Hospital back in January 2017 due to pneumonia. Barbara was also admitted with her own health issues.

As we reported … his former service dog, Sully, has been by his casket at several places leading up to George Sr.’s funeral Wednesday.

Michael Flynn will barely get any jail time after cooperating fully with Bob Mueller

I believe the analysis of Robert Mueller’s investigation which theorizes that Mueller is “writing his report” by way of unfolding indictments, trials and DoJ documents. Michael Flynn was part of Donald Trump’s campaign – he stood on stage at the Republican National Convention and began the “lock her up” chant. Then Trump made him National Security Advisor, despite Sally Yates’ warnings that Flynn was compromised by foreign intelligence in about a million different ways. Flynn was also dealing undercover with Russian officials during the transition in late 2016, which is massively illegal too.

Flynn is one of the big reasons why Robert Mueller’s investigation exists. And so everyone was interested in the much-hyped document-drop from DoJ yesterday about the Flynn deal. It’s been known for some time that Flynn has been talking to Mueller, just as we’ve known that Flynn’s adult son was also up to his ass in illegal sh-t too, and that Mueller would have gone after Flynn’s son if Flynn didn’t talk. Well, Flynn talked. NINETEEN interviews. And the document drop was heavily redacted.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III on Tuesday recommended that former national security adviser Michael Flynn serve no prison time, citing his “substantial assistance” with several ongoing investigations, according to a new court filing. Flynn was forced out of his post as national security adviser in February 2017 after the White House said he misled administration officials, including Vice President Pence, about his contacts with Sergey Kislyak, Russia’s ambassador to the United States at the time.

Since then, Flynn has been cooperating with Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign, and his full account of events has been one of the best-kept secrets in Washington. He is one of five Trump aides who have pleaded guilty in the special counsel probe.

The special counsel’s filing Tuesday is the first time prosecutors have described Flynn’s assistance since the former national security adviser’s guilty plea last year. But Tuesday’s sentencing memo was heavily redacted, continuing to shroud in secrecy the details of what Flynn has told Mueller’s team and other prosecutors. The special counsel wrote that Flynn has provided information for several ongoing investigations — participating in 19 interviews with federal prosecutors and turning over documents and communications. The filing indicated that Flynn has provided extensive assistance to Mueller, including about matters that were redacted and hidden from public view. It also indicated that he has cooperated with a separate unidentified criminal investigation, the details of which were completely redacted.

Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 to one felony count of making a false statement, despite a longer list of charges he could have faced. Prosecutors said last year they would likely seek a prison sentence between zero and six months. On Tuesday, the special counsel’s office said that based on Flynn’s assistance, the government was recommending a sentence on the low end of that range, “including a sentence that does not impose a term of incarceration.”

[From The Washington Post]

This is something I don’t understand about the Trump loyalists – no matter how much loyalty you show to the orange one, he’s still going to throw you under the bus whenever he feels like it. So you might as well sing like a g-ddamn canary to the special counsel. Mueller WILL show you loyalty if you help him – he’ll even recommend that you spend the bare minimum in jail for your treason and felonious behavior. LOCK HIM UP. Some tweets:

Video: Tristan Thompson Almost Gets Into Brawl at Brooklyn Game

AceShowbiz
Tristan Thompson could keep his cool when Kendall Jenner jokingly heckled him at a recent game, but definitely not some strangers who cheered on the opposing team. The Canadian athlete almost got into a fight after a group of fans in the stands couldn’t stop booing him when his team Cleveland Cavaliers won against Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, December 3.

In a video which was obtained by TMZ, Tristan could be seen standing in the corner of the court as the game came to an end. Many fans of Nets then started booing him, prompting him to turn his back to them with a clear anger on his face. There’s no doubt that Tristan was so close to fight the fans, but he ultimately went away while flipping the bird to the hecklers.

Still, his move shocked the people on the receiving ends, with one of them yelling, “Get out of here, you bum.” There was also a person who was heard screaming, “Someone’s gotta get that on video!”

It’s unknown whether Tristan will be fined for flipping the bird at hecklers, as Kevin Durrant was fined $25,000 by the NBA for telling a heckler to “watch the f***ing game and shut the f**p up” a few weeks back.

While people were most likely booing Tristan because Brooklyn Nets lost against his team, the Canadian athlete reportedly felt that it was due to his infamous cheating scandal. According to Radar Online, Tristan knew what he did to the hecklers was poor, but he couldn’t help himself. “He’s young and kind of a brat. He is a super rich athlete and he’s been getting killed lately,” a source told the gossip site. “He tries to ignore things, but he can’t.”
