ARSENAL will rival Leicester for Celtic's Kieran Tierney as the Gunners desperate hunt for a left-back goes on, according to reports.
Unai Emery is aiming to oversee a defensive overhaul at the Emirates this summer having lost patience with the under-performing Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal.
The Gunners boss faces stiff competition from former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who is keen to be reunited with his protege at the King Power Stadium.
The 21-year-old will be a target for Leicester if they lose Ben Chilwell in the summer, with Manchester City among the clubs interested in the England international.
Rodgers worked with Tierney at Celtic before taking over the Foxes last month and expects him to eventually star in the Premier League.
Emery is targeting three signings this summer and the Scottish star has been identified as a key target, according to the Daily Mirror.
Tierney – who was handed his debut at the Hoops by Rodgers' predecessor Ronny Deila four years ago – remains under contract at the Glaswegian club until 2023.
Tierney will consider his options as he attempts to win back his place as first-choice for Scotland from Andy Robertson.
Leicester were interested in the defender before hiring Rodgers as manager but the backlash surrounding his decision to leave Celtic may boost Arsenal's hopes.
Despite leading the Hoops to seven trophies during his time in Glasgow, fans unfurled a banner at Hearts hours after his exit and his Scotland home was then burgled.
