‘Fortnite’ Week 4 challenges: How to find Buried Treasure, use Pirate Cannon and Baller

The fourth week of “Fortnite” challenges in Season 8 is here, and we’ll help you accomplish all of the tasks.

In Week 1 we located all of the Pirate Camp locations and found the giant faces hidden throughout. Week 2 made you go far on the map to find the furthest North, South, East and West points. Week 3 was engaging by making you think a little bit with a new loading screen.

MORE: What to know about Season 8 of “Fortnite”

Below are the challenges you need to accomplish for Week 4:

Fortnite Challenges: Season 8, Week 4

Free Challenges

  • Search for Buried Treasure (2)
  • Launch yourself through structures with a Pirate Cannon (25)
  • Get an elimination with a scoped weapon and a suppressed weapon

Battle Pass Challenges

  • Use The Baller in different matches (5)
  • Eliminate opponents at Happy Hamlet or Pleasant Park (10)
  • Outlast opponents in a single match (90)
  • Stage 1: Land at Tilted Towers
  • Stage 2: Land at Junk Junction
  • Stage 3: Land at Retail Row
  • Stage 4: Land at Happy Hamlet
  • Stage 5: Land at Pleasant Park

Search for Buried Treasure

Early in Season 8 of “Fortnite” we were introduced to a new item: the Treasure Map. These are found just like any other item, through treasure chests and as floor loot, and they lead you to finding treasure chests underneath the ground. All you need to do to accomplish this challenge is find two Treasure Maps and follow them and uncover the buried treasure.

For a full walkthrough on how to use a Treasure Map, check out our guide here.

Launch yourself through structures with a Pirate Cannon

You can find Pirate Cannons at the Pirate Camps throughout the map. In order to accomplish this challenge, you’ll need to shoot yourself out of the cannon and crash through 25 structures. These don’t need to be opponent’s structures, they can be buildings already loaded on the map. So while this is a time-consuming challenge, you can do it peacefully on a not-so-crowded part of the map.

Get an elimination with a Scoped weapon and a Suppressed weapon

Probably the easiest challenge on the list. You just need to get two eliminations, one with a Scoped weapon (such as a sniper rifle) and one with a Suppressed weapon (any weapon with a silencer). This doesn’t even need to be accomplished in the same game so you have plenty of time to get this one done.

Use The Baller in different matches

The Baller is a new item that you’ve no doubt seen if you’ve played the game recently. Epic Games recently reduced the number of Ballers by 50 percent, but they’re still fairly easy to find. They spawn all throughout the map. And this challenge is easy because you don’t even need to do anything in The Baller other than just use it in five different games.

Eliminate opponents at Happy Hamlet or Pleasant Park

This challenge is pretty self-explanatory. You need to eliminate 10 enemies in one or both of these locations. You can either land here and hope to get a quick kill or rotate over a little later once you have found better loot.

Outlast opponents in a single match

You need to outlast 90 opponents to accomplish this task. This is for a single match, so you need to place in the Top 10 in any game mode. Solo will probably be the easiest, and to accomplish this the easiest way would be to find a good location to hide and wait for others to eliminate everyone else. It’s not too exciting, but it will get the job done.

Stage 1: Land at Tilted Towers

Again, pretty straightforward. This is a staged challenge so you need to land in these areas in the correct order to complete the challenge.

The rest of the stages are:

  • Stage 2: Land at Junk Junction
  • Stage 3: Land at Retail Row
  • Stage 4: Land at Happy Hamlet
  • Stage 5: Land at Pleasant Park

And then you’re done with Week 4 challenges.

Johnathan Fair, 19, allegedly beat his girlfriend’s 4-year-old daughter to death in December after she spilled juice on an Xbox video game console.
(Waukegan Police Department)

Prosecutors in Illinois plan to seek a life sentence for a man who allegedly killed his girlfriend's daughter after she spilled juice on an Xbox video game console.

Johnathan Fair, 19, of Waukegan, roughly 40 miles northwest of Chicago, was babysitting 4-year-old Skylar Mendez on Dec. 13 when the incident occurred, the Lake County News-Sun reported, citing the State Attorney's Office.

FLORIDA MAN CHEWS UP SEAT OF POLICE CAR AFTER COCAINE ARREST, OFFICIALS SAY

Fair took the child to a hospital and claimed she fell and hit her head, prosecutors said. He later reportedly admitted that he shook Mendez "really hard" and beat her because she spilled juice on the console.

Fair allegedly kicked Skylar down a hallway as part of her punishment. He reportedly brought her to the hospital after she passed out during the attack.

COP KILLER CLAIMED IN NOTE POLICE TARGETED HIM WITH 'ULTRA SONIC WAVES MEANT TO KEEP DOGS FROM BARKING'

Doctors tried unsuccessfully to relieve the swelling in Mendez's brain and she died days later.

Fair was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday on four counts of first-degree murder and is being held on $5 million bail at the Lake County jail.

The 19-year-old's attorney told The Associated Press on Sunday that he's confident his client will eventually be acquitted.

Prosecutors announced Thursday their intention to seek a natural life sentence for Fair if his case goes to trial. He's scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 17.

  • He hen slammed car into a crowd with those hit including Syrians and Afghans
  • Man, 50, fled to Essen, where he tried and failed to hit more people before arrest
  • Police say attack ‘possibly motivated by the anti-foreigner views of the driver’

Four people have been injured after a mentally ill man drove into a crowd of people in Germany – in what appears to have been an attack targeting foreigners.

The 50-year-old driver of a silver Mercedes first attempted to hit a group of people in the western city of Bottrop shortly after midnight, but the pedestrians were able to jump out of the way, police said.

The man, who has not been named, then drove into the center of Bottrop where he slammed into a crowd. Those hit by the car included Syrian and Afghan citizens, and some were seriously injured.

He then sped off toward the nearby city of Essen, where he tried and failed to hit people waiting at a bus stop before being arrested by police on suspicion of attempted homicide.

Authorities said the driver made anti-foreigner comments during his arrest.

‘Investigating authorities are currently working on the assumption that this was a targeted attack, possibly motivated by the anti-foreigner views of the driver,’ police said, adding that there were indications the suspect suffered from mental illness.

Angela Luettmann, a spokeswoman for Muenster police, couldn’t immediately confirm whether the driver was German but said he came from Essen.

The driver, who had sought psychological help in the weeks preceding the attack, then killed himself.

On December 19, 2016, a Tunisian man ploughed a truck into a busy Christmas market in Berlin, killing 12 people.

The attack was later claimed by ISIS. The driver, who fled the scene, was later killed in a shootout with police in Italy.

The source added that Katie will spend time with eldest son Harvey, 16, in the morning before Kieran brings Jett and Bunny at lunch, along with new flame Michelle.

It comes after Katie reportedly spent a staggering £6,000 on Christmas decorations, just weeks after she announced she had avoided bankruptcy.

The television personality, 40, is said to have splurged out on a shopping spree and splashed out on lavish gifts to spoil her five children and on-off boyfriend Kris, 30.

A source told the publication: ‘Katie’s finally making money again through the TV show and endorsements, so she’s determined to make this the best Christmas ever after what she calls a ‘s*** year.

‘Katie wants the house to look amazing so when people come over – like Kieran – they can see she’s got her life together and the mansion isn’t a tip anymore.

MailOnline contacted a spokesperson for Katie for comment at the time.

It comes after Katie was charged with drink-driving after crashing her pink Range Rover in London following a five day bender on October 10, Metropolitan Police confirmed.

The mother-of-five, 40, was arrested in the earlier hours of the morning two months ago after turning up uninvited to her on-off boyfriend Kris’ 30th birthday party.

Katie was charged by postal requisition last week and is now due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 January.

Katie’s Year From Hell

JANUARY: Botched surgery and a painful allergic reaction

At the start of the year, Katie emerged with an alarmingly swollen face which she later revealed was the result of botched surgery to achieve a more youthful complexion.

At the time, she explained: ‘People have surgery to look like me even though my surgery went wrong and I’m getting it sorted on Wednesday’.

She later revealed an allergic reaction to penicillin left her ‘really ill’

FEBRUARY: Speeding fine and trouble with the law

Her woes only continued the following month when the model was slapped with a six-month driving back after she was caught speeding at 60mph in a 50mph zone. She already had points on her license.

Following the incident, Katie failed to tell police when the speeding ticket arrived and was charged with failing to provide details about the person driving.

She failed to show up at magistrates’ court and was given a six-month ban and a £750 fine.

MARCH: A car jacking and a flop live show

Shocking: The following month, Katie was left ‘traumatised’ after she and two of her children were the victims of a brutal carjacking at the hands of drug-crazed attackers in South Africa

The following month, Katie was left ‘traumatised’ after she and two of her children were the victims of a brutal carjacking at the hands of drug-crazed attackers in South Africa.

She told friends that she feared for the life of her two children, Princess and Junior. All three were thrown out the vehicle by the attackers during their journey from Johannesburg to Swaziland in two people carriers as their mobile phones, laptops, passports and money were all stolen.

On top of her terrifying ordeal, Katie was forced to pull out of a date on her An Audience with Katie Price tour after selling just 23% of tickets. She reportedly pulled out just two days prior to the performance, leaving Brighton’s Theatre Royal to contact ticket holders to claim a refund

APRIL: Her mother’s terminal illness and London Marathon fail

Devastating: Later in the month, Katie intended to raise money for the British Lung Foundation on behalf of her mother Amy. But in unseasonably hot April weather, Katie, who was dressed in a giant lung costume, pulled out with a knee injury some three hours into the 26.2 mile run

Katie revealed her terminally ill mother, Amy, ‘hasn’t got long’ left to live. She admitted her beloved mother ‘could die within a month’ because contracting an innocuous cold could have a fatal outcome for the lung condition she is battling, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Amy was diagnosed with IPF, a rare condition that causes progressive and irreversible scarring of the lungs, in 2017.  Speaking in an emotional interview, Katie shared: ‘My mum is dying, it’s that simple. They normally diagnose is three to five years but Mum has already had to change her life.’

Later in the month, Katie intended to raise money for the British Lung Foundation on behalf of her mother Amy.

But in unseasonably hot April weather, Katie, who was dressed in a lung costume, pulled out with an injury some three hours into the 26.2 mile run.

MAY: ANOTHER split from husband Kieran Hayler and the first in a string on toyboy links

Linked: She was later said to have moved on with footballer Shane Duffy (pictured)

Katie split from her philandering husband again which caused her to revert to her wild, party-girl ways after dumping the former stripper for good, following his affair with their nanny last year.

Claiming the on and off pair have finally parted ways for good, a source said: ‘There have been loads of trials and tribulations but it’s finally over.’ She was later said to have moved on with footballer Shane Duffy

JUNE: Toyboy lover, Kieran’s Co-Op lover and Peter Andre’s ‘BAN’ on seeing the kids

Toyboy: Katie’s romance with Kris Boyson, 11 years her junior, first came to light when they enjoyed a holiday together to celebrate her 40th birthday

Katie’s romance with Kris Boyson, 11 years her junior, first came to light when they enjoyed a holiday together to celebrate her 40th birthday. As her romance with the personal trainer heated up it was claimed Kieran had cheated on her with a 19-year-old shop assistant from their local Co-op star.

She was slammed later in the month after riding in a car with their children Jett, four, and Bunny, three, with her youngest son seemingly not wearing a seat belt.

In an Instagram post, the model filmed her two cherubic children in the ‘back of a friend’s car’, but the apparently innocent clip angered many loyal follows, who branded her ‘irresponsible’.

Unsubstantiated claims arose later in the month claiming she had been banned from seeing her children Junior and Princess by their father Peter Andre

JULY: Cocaine admission, TV career in tatters and THOSE saucy photoshoots

Happier times: After she admitted that she took cocaine during the dissolution of her marriage to Kieran, it was claimed that Katie was on the brink of losing her TV career (the couple pictured together in 2015)

After she admitted that she took cocaine during the dissolution of her marriage to Kieran, it was claimed that Katie was on the brink of losing her TV career over the scandal despite sources claiming soon after that she is ‘sorting herself out for the sake of her children’.

A source told the Mirror: ‘Since Katie’s life started to spiral out of control at the beginning of this year, she hasn’t been on mainstream British TV.

Her last appearance on Loose Women was in January and she hasn’t been asked back. Her cocaine admission hasn’t gone down well either. It’s not a good look, especially for someone who was a regular feature on ITV’.

Katie was later hitting headlines when she posed for an array of X-rated shoots during a holiday with Kris

AUGUST: Bankruptcy claims and ANOTHER driving probe

Diminshing: After months of bankruptcy whispers, money worries reports reached fever pitch as it was claimed her personal finances are in tatters, as her once gargantuan earnings are said to have shrunk significantly

After months of bankruptcy whispers, money worry reports reached fever pitch as it was claimed her personal finances are in tatters, as her once gargantuan earnings are said to have shrunk significantly.

Katie was questioned by police after photographs emerged of the business woman behind the steering wheel during her six-month driving ban.

Pictures revealed the mother driving her grey Ford Fiesta home from Gatwick with her youngest kids Jett, aged four, and Bunny, aged three, on Wednesday.

Sussex police confirmed the reality star will be quizzed over the 24-mile journey she made during her six-month driving ban last week in a formal interview.

SEPTEMBER: A split from Kris, a new toyboy beau, her crumbling home and rehab stint for PTSD

New love: After it was revealed she had split from Kris, it was revealed Katie was dating her now-boyfriend, 25-year-old toyboy, businessman Alex Adderson (pictured together last week), after images emerged of the duo in a steamy clinch

After it was revealed she had split from Kris, it was revealed Katie was dating her now-boyfriend, 25-year-old toyboy, businessman Alex Adderson, after images emerged of the duo in a steamy clinch

Elsewhere, images of Katie’s already-decrepit West Sussex mansion in various states of disrepair emerged amid the TV personality’s ongoing financial woes.

Her £2million Horsham home — which she purchased in 2014, shortly after tying the knot with her now estranged husband Kieran Hayler, 31 — was a shadow of its once grand appearance, with an abandoned swimming pool and tired, overgrown facilities proving to be quite the eyesore.

While her abode appears to be crumbling under much neglect, the mother-of-five was reportedly living it up, with The Sun reporting at the time that she’s guzzling £350 bottles of champagne for breakfast with Alex.

It was claimed that the star, whose personal debts stand at over £120,000, with company debts exceptionally exceeding that, is seeing Alex as her financial ‘knight in shining armour’.

Katie was admitted to The Priory rehab facility for treatment for PTSD

OCTOBER: Bizarre breaks from rehab and shock arrest

That was then: Katie was pictured on a number of occasions having taken a break from rehab, including a trip to London’s Annabel’s members club last week (pictured)

Katie was pictured on a number of occasions having taken a break from rehab, firstly when she attended her beautician pal’s wedding.

A representative for Katie told MailOnline: ‘The priory were aware Kate had a wedding to attend for her very close friend before she took the treatment…

‘She went to the church and left the wedding for 4pm. Katie was driving. Her treatment resumes as usual on Monday’

The star’s arrest was the latest shock in a string of scandals.

Mum who kidnapped her boy, 4, and took him 4,000 miles away walks free from court after the boy's dad urges judge not to jail her

Nakisa Hoodfar, 31, tricked Kyle Wallwork into signing passport papers on the false basis she was taking their four-year-old son on holiday to Spain.

But the restaurant manager, from Stockport, Greater Manchester, had actually taken him to live in Kuwait with her new boyfriend.

Mr Wallwork – who was separated from Hoodfar – only realised he had been duped when he couldn't get hold of her to speak to his son and called cops.

But Hoodfar, who went onto have two more children and marry, spent three years in Kuwait before returning to the UK of her own accord in July this year.

At Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, Hoodfar admitted child abduction and was sentenced to two years imprisonment suspended for two years.

The boy now eight is currently living with his mother, her husband and his two half-siblings, at an address in Withington, Manchester.

In a statement Mr Wallwork said: "She took my son from me for over three years knowing that I would not have consented.

"That’s a massive chunk of his life I have missed.

"I am always thinking of what is best for my son and I don’t want to remove him from his mother.

"I do get to see him most weekends. I don’t want her to go to prison, but what she did cannot go unpunished.

"Those three years have lost me a massive amount of time with my son."

Hoodfar, who had custody of the boy, took him to Kuwait in July 2015 after splitting from Mr Wallwork and meeting a new man.

Prosecuting, David Lees, said: “Mr Wallwork was having regular contact with his son but the defendant asked for his consent to get a passport for the boy so she could take him on holiday to Spain.

''Mr wallwork agreed but became suspicious when he couldn’t get hold of Miss Hoodfar.

"He kept trying until August 31, called the police then found out that she had taken their son to Kuwait, which she was not allowed to do.

"A court order was made for his return but it was not until July this year that he was returned, so three years after he was taken out of this jurisdiction.

''But she would enable Skype contact between the two of them while in Kuwait.

"She told Kyle that she left the country to have a new life in Kuwait with a new partner. She did, however, return on her own accord.''

In mitigation, defence lawyer Kelly Cyples, said: "Ms Hoofar did not intend remain out of the country for the amount of time that she did.

“In Kuwait, she kept her son and his father in regular contact, and she invited Mr Wallwork to see his son, but he declined.

"She didn’t have any knowledge that what she did was an offence of abduction, she didn’t realise you could abduct your own child."

Ms Cyples added: "She fell pregnant twice, both were unplanned, and there is a law in Kuwait that prevents the mother travelling without her child without the father’s permission.

“There’s no risk now of the boy being taken out of this jurisdiction again.

"Since her return, she has secured employment and she looks after three children.

"She is the only person in the house who has a job as her husband cannot work yet in this country."

Sentencing Judge Tina Landale told her he was handing her a "lenient sentence" for her son's welfare.

He said: "Your offence is extremely serious. It is particularly serious because of the lengthy period you abducted him for – three years.

"Your offence has caused damage to the emotional relationship with him and his father.

These 4 Christmas novels promise romance, mystery and lovable mutts

Looking for a last-minute stocking stuffer for the book lover on your list? These four little holiday tales are ready for wrapping and then reading.

“Alaskan Holiday”

By Debbie Macomber

Ballantine, 224 pp.

★★★ out of four

Baby, it’s cold outside! (Sorry, bad joke.) But it is, truly! This is Alaska, folks. We’re in a remote place called Ponder, a one snowmobile kind of town where the weather is frightful, the camaraderie delightful. Our star-crossed lovers (who alternate narrating this little gem of a holiday romance) are Palmer, a sweet, attractive local guy who custom-makes swords, of all things, and Josie, a pretty sous chef who has spent her summer and fall working at the Ponder lodge. Now Josie needs to return home to Seattle to start her dream job at a new restaurant, while Palmer wants her to stay and marry him. This old-fashioned love story (these two kiss and kiss and kiss but never seem to get to second base) is enlivened by some amusing local characters, a surprising #MeToo subplot in the Seattle kitchen, and Josie’s worries about balancing love and career. Will these kids work it out by Christmas? Author Debbie Macomber is a pro, and “Alaskan Holiday” promises to melt any frozen heart.
