Why you should watch ‘The Good Fight’

“The Good Fight is […] better than its CBS predecessor The Good Wife ever was. Period. Full stop,” Daniel Fienberg of The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

And we wholeheartedly concur with Fienberg. The show is funny, thought-provoking, and unpredictable. For those who watched The Good Wife, dare we say you won’t miss Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) keeping her emotions in check. The only caveat is that The Good Fight is available only on the network’s app, CBS All Access.

‘It’s put up or shut up’

Several cast members appear in a promotional video for Season 3 of The Good Fight. “It’s put up or shut up,” is how actor Nyambi Nyambi, who plays the firm’s investigator, Jay Dipersia, describes the new season.

As for Baranski who plays the show’s main character, Diane Lockhart, she describes Season 3 like this: “News is breaking over us like waves, so it’s having this toxic effect. It’s making us all crazy.”

We learn more about Liz

Audra McDonald who plays Liz Reddick-Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight what fans can expect from her character in Season 3.

“Right off the bat with the first episode, there’s some personal things that happened to her that affect her and the law firm as well,” McDonald told Entertainment Tonight.

“There’s some major stuff that she has to deal with, some major bones that she has to deal with immediately.”

#MeToo will be addressed

“I don’t know what I’m allowed to say and not allowed to say, but I can say that it [the #MeToo movement] figures quite prominently,” McDonald said. “And it’s something that’s touched on and dealt with.”

Michael Sheen joins the cast

A new face will join the cast of Season 3. Actor Michael Sheen, who was once married to actress Kate Beckinsale, will play attorney Roland Blum. McDonald touched on the addition of a new character in her interview.

“Michael Sheen was such a brilliant choice,” McDonald said. “He’s such a wonderful man and so sweet, but [Roland is] this just larger than life, corrupt character. The character he’s playing really throws the firm for a major loop, so it’s like having an 800-pound gorilla in the room now.”

As for the status on the rest of the cast including Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie), Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo), Colin Morrello (Justin Bartha), Julius Cain (Michael Boatman), and Marissa Gold (Sarah Steele), you’ll have to watch Season 3 of The Good Fight.

Cat Fight! NeNe Slams Eva For Leaving Her Out Of Bachelorette Party

So rude!

Eva Marcille made a huge mistake by not inviting NeNe Leakes to her “surprise” bachelorette party – and the OG of The Real Housewives of Atlanta definitely let her know. While the ladies went on a trip to Destin, Florida, Cynthia Bailey brought up Marcille’s bachelorette party, to which Leakes was not invited but Porsha Williams was.

“You didn’t even invite NeNe, who you asked to speak at your wedding?” Williams, who was trying to hide her pregnancy, asked Marcille. “Why was NeNe not invited?”

Marlo Hampton weighed in too. “It just seems weird that Porsha would have been invited and NeNe wouldn’t. Your ‘girl you’ve known forever’ didn’t get invited? ‘My girl I’ve known forever.’ That’s the part right there.”

Marcille tried to claim that the party was a “surprise,” but Leakes wasn’t convinced.

“I am not sure Eva knows what a surprise is. Because if you having a damn surprise, it’s surprise! You don’t know that sh*t is happening ,” Leakes said in her confessional.

“You have 7,000 things going on,” Marcille said to Leakes, referencing her husband Gregg Leakes‘ cancer diagnosis. “Coming to the strip club for a day in Miami is not one that I thought is that big of a deal.”

Bailey explained why she thought it was a bad move on Marcille’s part.

“It would have only taken Eva like, 10 seconds to just send a text and be like, ‘Hey, you’re speaking in my wedding. Come.’ And I think NeNe actually would have gone to Eva’s bachelorette party,” she said.

“When you speak about her, it’s like, you’re always getting this advice from her and she’s like a big sister to you. So, it implies like you guys are super close,” Bailey told Marcille.

Leakes reminded the audience that she was hardly a “big sis.”

“Big sis is getting old. Y’all b*tches are very close to my age,” she said.

Marcille almost cried trying to explain why she left Leakes out of the party.

“I didn’t purposely not invite NeNe,” Marcille insisted to the ladies in Florida. “I don’t have any sisters biologically that I know. So, for me, women in my life and in my circle is a blessing. I don’t know why I’m getting choked up. I don’t have to be best friends with NeNe for me to have a level of respect for her. I’m inspired by NeNe. And I’ve seen who NeNe has become, I’ve seen her successes, and I support her. I don’t talk to her everyday like [Cynthia does], that’s fine. Or every day like Marlo does, that’s fine. But that doesn’t change the way I feel about her.”

Marcille tried to downplay the situation in her confessional. “I’m sorry, what’s the problem? I am not trying to have the friendship or relationship that Cynthia nor Marlo has with NeNe. I got what I got. I’m fine with it. I call her sis. And I call Maxine Waters Auntie Max.”

Leakes had a simple response to the snub.

“I don’t know whether I would have gone to Eva’s bachelorette party, but an invite would have been f**king nice,” she said in her confessional. “I mean, she did ask me to speak at her wedding. So, it seems to me it would make more sense if she would have said, ‘Hey girl, do you want to come to Florida?’ and I probably would have said to her, ‘Hey girl, no.’”
