Coronation Street turned the air blue on Wednesday night with two pre-watershed f-bombs.
Viewers were given a warning about the "explicit language" in a preview clip of the first episode.
Gemma Winter offered to keep an eye on the tea for new boyfriend Chesney and his young son Joseph.
While Ches headed out to pick up some peas, Gemma went to get the fish fingers and chips out of the oven.
However, she made the classic error of using a tea towel to pick up the scolding hot baking tray and managed to burn her hand.
After dropping the tray on the hob, she shouted: "F***!!!"
Corrie writers cleverly managed to sneak the foul-mouthed language into the soap without causing offence.
Just as Gemma screamed out, the shot cut to a cat screeching outside the house.
Corrie bosses might have got away with it, but Gemma didn’t as Joseph heard her "say a bad word".
Gemma tried to bribe the schoolboy not to tell Chesney with a fiver.
But she came unstuck when Joseph shouted out the word in anger after being banned from watching TV.
This time the rude word was masterfully bleeped out using a car horn.
To make matters worse, Joseph exposed Gemma by revealing she taught him the foul language.
This left Chesney to kick his girlfriend out of the house.
Corrie viewers took to Twitter after watching the hilarious scenes.
One viewer said: "I like the way Corrie just disguised that swear with the cat screech"
Another added: "Covering up the swear word with the cat and then the car horn was hilarious and cleverly down"
A third admitted: "Why am I not surprised that Gemma got a censored swear moment?"
