X Factor’s Ayda Field makes shock jibe at Simon Cowell over son Eric’s new song

Ayda Field shocked the audience during the X Factor final when she made a sly comment about Simon Cowell’s young son, Eric, and the four-year-old’s new single.

Simon revealed the young boy had released his first song at just four years old, which left Ayda completely gobsmacked.

At the start of the show, Eric performed a rendition of viral smash Baby Shark with his group, but Ayda was completely shocked, and not very impressed by the child’s performance debut on TV.

After the song, Simon said: "This is Eric’s first release on SyKids Records.

"The record is out now. He is now my boss!"

After Scarlett Lee, Simon’s finalist, performed her song with former winner Leona Lewis, Ayda turned to Simon with a cheeky quip, saying: "Oh Simon! I was very worried you were going o have Scarlett duet with sharks, so thank you."

Simon could not believe Ayda had made a quip at his young son’s expense, and let his jaw drop in complete surprise.

But he was not the only one who was shocked, as other fans could not believe their ears.

One took to Twitter to say: "That shade that Ayda just threw at Simon!"
