Man sexually assaulted crying teen on international flight: authorities

A Massachusetts man has been indicted on a federal criminal charge for allegedly sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman sitting next to him and crying on a United flight from Japan to the US, according to a report.

George Seryogin was accused of groping the woman during the flight from Tokyo to Dulles International Airport in Virginia last summer, NBC Washington reported, citing an FBI affidavit.

The creep allegedly began by touching the woman’s knee, then began groping her and placing a blanket over her leg, making it difficult for other passengers to see him, the affidavit says.

“The victim was also quietly crying, with tears streaming down her face” as she pushed his hands off her, according to the document.

A grand jury indicted Seryogin on one count of abusive sexual contact aboard an aircraft in flight.

“My client firmly denies the allegations against him,” said his attorney, Mary Nerino, who offered no additional comments.

The news station’s review of federal court records revealed at least four other sex-assault cases in flights to Dulles or Reagan Washington National Airport since 2013.

The FBI has posted warning signs on TV monitors at Dulles International, saying sex assaults aboard flights are federal crimes.
