Michael Cohen, the former lawyer and fixer for President Trump, said he is ready to fill in the blanks of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which will be released Thursday by Attorney General William Barr.
“Soon I will be ready to address the American people again … tell it all … and tell it myself!,” Cohen posted on his Twitter account.
Barr said he will release a redacted version of the report on Mueller’s nearly two-year investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election to Congress and the public.
Cohen’s tweet came just moments after his lawyer, Lanny Davis, posted that Cohen can fill in missing information.
“As the #Country waits for the #MuellerReport, know this…it does not matter how #Barr #RedactedMuellerReport. @MichaelCohen212 has 7 days, 70 hours, + 100 pages of what #TeamMueller knows and can fill in the bulk of the redactions. Nice try Mr. @POTUS. #Truth We will tell it all,” Davis wrote.
Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress and campaign finance violations and cooperated in Mueller’s investigation.
He also testified before a number of Senate and House panels.
Feds raided Cohen’s apartment, office and hotel room in April 2018 and seized records, emails and documents.
Cohen is expected to report to prison on May 6.
