Adam Peaty’s girlfriend Eirianedd Munro took to Twitter and claimed she had been sexually assaulted in McDonald’s two years ago. Her admission comes after she reacted to another post about bouncers being retrained.

It comes after recent reports of women being spiked by injection on nights out.

The Twitter user in question wrote: “Bouncers need serious retraining on how to keep girls safe.

“Hearing stories of girls being thrown out of nightclubs onto streets alone for being drunk when they’ve actually been spiked is terrifying.

“No girl should be thrown out of a venue alone whether she’s drunk or spiked.”

The Olympic swimmer’s girlfriend Eiri reacted to the message, as she shared her own personal experience.

In view of her 1,500 followers, she penned: “Two years ago I was sexually assaulted in a McDonalds. I went to get help from the bouncer. His solution was to ask the man who did it to apologise to me and then allowed him to stay on the premises. (sic)

“Once the bouncer had left, the man came back to assault me again. So f*** bouncers.”

Eiri did not share any further details following her claims of assault.

Meanwhile, Eiri recently reacted to her partner’s departure from Strictly.

The 26-year-old sports star was voted out of the competition alongside dance partner Katya Jones after losing the dance-off to Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin.

Taking to Instagram, Adam penned a lengthy message following his elimination from the competition.

“What an experience @bbcstrictly has been,” he wrote.

“I’m so grateful for my time on this show, from the highs of performing in front of millions and the extreme challenge of learning a new routine within 3 days every week, it’s been incredible.

“I didn’t know how much it meant to me until I got a bit emotional after my dance-off; however, I don’t think it was the dancing that pushed me over the edge, but the two years of the constant challenge with myself combined with the energy to win the Olympics and becoming a father at the same time.”

Of his dance partner Katya, the athlete said: “Thank you Katya for being there every single day, you are incredible.

“I don’t have enough positive words for you and what an amazing person and dancer you are. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes, you are brilliant.

“I’m so grateful for everyone who has made this experience so amazing.”

“What an incredible journey! Can’t believe it’s come to an end. Very proud of you both,” Eiri wrote alongside a snap of the dancing duo.

Adam and Eiri share their son George together.
