Dame Arlene Phillips is reportedly set to join the Dancing on Ice judging panel for the 2022 series.
The 78 year old choreographer is rumoured to be taking John Barrowman's place on the show, after it was revealed he had stepped down ahead of the next series.
Arlene is said to be "in advanced talks" with ITV after she was axed from Strictly Come Dancing in 2009.
Dancer Arlene's choreographer's experience is said to be seen as a "huge asset" by ITV bosses.
A TV insider said: “The fact that Arlene is a mature woman with decades of experience in the dance world is seen as a huge asset for Dancing on Ice.
"In contrast to what people see as her harsh treatment by Strictly, ITV bosses see her seniority as a brilliant way to create a diverse panel of experts on the show.
"It means the DOI judges are now made of two men and two women spanning an extensive age range," they added to The Sun Online.
ITV declined to comment when contacted by OK!. Arlene's representatives are yet to respond to a request for comment.
If Arlene was to join the show, she would be judging the celebrity skaters alongside Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
The channel confirmed John Barrowman would not be returning to Dancing on Ice for the 2022 series on Sunday 3 October.
An ITV spokesperson told OK!: "We thank John for two brilliant years on the Dancing on Ice panel and are pleased to be working with him again as host of the forthcoming All Star Musicals specials."
While 54 year old John's spokesperson told Mirror: "John is thrilled to be returning to work for ITV as host on the new All Star Musicals."
