Beyoncé’s ‘Halo’ Video Reaches 1 Billion Views On YouTube

Beyoncé‘s 2008 single “Halo” has logged over one billion views on YouTube, becoming her first-ever music video to achieve the milestone.

The clip, directed by Philip Andelman, shows the singer spending time in the ethereal morning light with her lover, played by Michael Ealy.

“Halo” spent 31 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at No. 5 on the chart dated May 22, 2009. The song won the award for best female pop vocal performance at the 52nd annual Grammys.

The song was part of the singer’s 2008 double album I am … Sasha Fierce.

“Single Ladies,” “Drunk in Love,” “7/11” and “Crazy in Love” are the next four most-viewed videos by Beyoncé.
