Rock icon Bruce Springsteen has been added to the lineup of the highly anticipated 13th annual Stand Up For Heroes event, to be held at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden on November 4.
Held in association with the Bob Woodruff Foundation, the star-studded event will kick off the nation’s largest comedy festival, the New York City Comedy Festival, which will see upwards of 200 acts performing across 100 celebrated venues across the city between November 4 and 10.
The event, which aims to raise awareness and funds for the Woodruff foundation, will also include performances by Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Ronny Chieng, Hasan Minhaj and other surprise guests.
Since partnering with the NYC Comedy Festival in 2007, SUFH has generated more than $50 million for the foundation, which “invests in programs and partnerships that identify and fill gaps in services to address the most urgent and emerging needs of our veterans and military families,” said Anne Marie Dougherty, Chief Executive Officer of the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
“Even after 13 years of Stand Up for Heroes, the event continues to inspire our audience and our nation,” said Woodruff, ABC News correspondent and co-founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation. “We can’t forget that these brave individuals stand up to serve in our military, and we need to show our support by standing up for them in return.”
Tickets for the night of hope, healing and laughter are on sale now via bobwoodrufffoundation.org, nycomedyfestival.com and ticketmaster.com.
