Celeb SAS: Two stars ‘quit after just 48 hours’ in brutal start to show

Love Island’s Amber Gill and TOWIE star Pete Wicks have reportedly already quit the new season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Pete was the first to hang up his boots after sustaining a broken rib, and Amber followed 24 hours later because she “couldn’t hack it any longer”.

Filming for the show is currently taking place in Jordan in the Middle East a far cry from its usual location of the isle of Raasay, Scotland.

Speaking about the pair’s departure, a source explained toThe Sun: “The show bills itself as the hardest thing on telly – and it’s lived up to its reputation once again.

“Amber is by no means a wimp, but just couldn’t hack it any longer. She’s a reality star turned fitness expert and even she couldn’t stay longer than two days. She was gutted but couldn’t carry on.

“Meanwhile, Pete really hurt himself on the course, and had to withdraw on medical grounds. Doing some of the stuff that the directing staff want you to do with a broken rib is just not possible. They both got an early flight home to the UK.”

OK! have reached out to Pete and Amber’s reps for comment, as well as representatives for Channel 4.

While Pete and Amber may have already left, 12 members ofthe original line-upremain, including the likes of Ashley Cain, Jade Jones, AJ and Curtis Pritchard, and TOWIE’s Ferne McCann.

Amber and Pete aren’t alone in calling it quits on Celebrity SAS Vicky Pattison, Jack Quickenden, Shanaze Reade and Saira Khanall had to leave the show earlier this year.

Vicky left the show because of exhaustion, and Saira sustained a broken ankle after snapping it in a mud fight with Ulrika Jonsson.

Sharing a snap of her swollen foot on Instagram at the time, the former Loose Women panellist penned: “I tried my very best, but in the end I had to be honest with myself. I was in pain and didn’t want to let the other’s down. I was dragging behind and I felt I was being a burden.

"I actually fractured my ankle and have had surgery where I’ve had a metal plate and 9 metal pins put in. I was in a cast for 12 weeks – but am all mended now.

"I’m proud of my ankle scar because it will always be a reminder of a time I did my very best and pushed myself outside my comfort zone.”

Saira went on to thank her surgeon who “put her back together”.

Meanwhile, Jake ruptured his pectoral muscle and Shanaze broke her shoulder.
