Showing the love! Whoever said there should be beef between in-laws never met these celebrities. Duchess Meghan, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth and more stars have expressed their adoration for their relatives through the years, whether in subtle or overt ways.
The Duchess of Sussex, for one, has warmed her way into the hearts of multiple royal family members since she and Prince Harry tied the knot in May 2018. Prince Charles, her now-father-in-law, stepped in at the last minute when Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, was unable to attend the nuptials. The Prince of Wales walked the bride down the aisle at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle as his son waited for his then-bride-to-be.
Less than one month later, the former actress attended her first solo royal engagement with her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II. “Meghan and the queen come from two very different backgrounds and generations,” a source revealed to Us Weekly in March 2019. “But there’s a warmth between the two that is genuine and loving. … Whenever they’re together, they always have a giggle.”
The insider added that the monarch could not wait “to have Meghan involved in the family business. … She seems really interested in hearing Meghan’s thoughts on the world.”
Though not yet married to fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger, Pratt fangirled over her father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, years before the couple met. Luckily, the respect was mutual! (The Parks and Recreation alum proposed to the author in January 2019.)
As for Hemsworth, the actor does not talk much about his brother Liam Hemsworth’s relationship with wife Miley Cyrus. However, the Thor star put his high regard for the songstress on full display with a cheeky Instagram video in May 2018.

Chris Pratt and Arnold Schwarzenegger
Pratt raved over his future father-in-law in June 2015. The Jurassic World star autographed his name next to Schwarzenegger’s for The Late Late Show With James Corden, adding: “Right next to friggin’ Arnold!” The Terminator actor saw the mention and tweeted, “I’m right next to friggin’ CHRIS PRATT. Congrats on the monster opening weekend, @prattprattpratt. You deserve it.” Three years later, the Guardians of the Galaxy star proposed to Arnold’s daughter Katherine.

Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie
Diaz reunited with the cast of My Best Friend’s Wedding in February 2019, at which time she detailed her sister-in-law’s obsession with the rom-com. “We went to Chicago, like, a year and a half ago, and she took me to every single [location]. She’s like, ‘Remember when you were walking down the street right here and then …’ It was so much fun,” the Charlie’s Angels actress recalled to Entertainment Weekly. “I was like, ‘Yes, I think I do.’ She’s like, ‘I do, and it really means a lot to me, so I would like for you to pretend you do.’” Richie and the Holiday star are married to twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, respectively.

Duchess Meghan and Queen Elizabeth II
The Suits alum quickly made her way into the good graces of husband Prince Harry’s grandmother. Meghan’s “enthusiasm towards living a life of service and humanitarianism excites the queen and it’s just the type of vim and vigor she likes to see in someone,” a source told Us in June 2018.

Miley Cyrus and Chris Hemsworth
A Miley fan! Hemsworth proved just how much he adores his sister-in-law when he hilariously danced to her hit “Wrecking Ball” in a May 2018 Instagram video. The Avengers star and his wife, Elsa Pataky, later honeymooned with Cyrus and his brother Liam after the newlyweds’ December 2018 surprise wedding.

Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire
Clarkson, who is married to McEntire’s former stepson Brandon Blackstock, paid tribute to the country music icon at the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors. “Sometimes when we meet our heroes, it doesn’t always pan out how you hope. But meeting Reba — being friends with her, and eventually becoming family — has been one of the highlights of my life, truly,” the American Idol alum raved in December 2018. “So thank you so much for listening to me vent as an artist. Thank you so much for comforting me on the phone through my tears, like a friend. And thank you for being a really rad grandma for my kids.” The Reba alum split from Brandon’s dad, Narvel Blackstock, in August 2015.
