Chris Evans mocks nude photo leak as he speaks out to use his voice for good

Chris Evans has broken his silence after appearing to accidentally share an explicit photo on social media.

The Captain America star poked fun at what happened in a tweet on Monday, using the moment to also send a timely message about the upcoming US presidential election in November.

He wrote: ‘Now that I have your attention…VOTE Nov 3rd!!!!’

Chris also added a ‘facepalm’ emoji and another of a man shrugging in reference to the slip up.

His Knives Out co-star Jamie Lee Curtis replied: ‘My boy! Proud of him. Got MY attention!’

The Snowpiercer star recently posted a screen recording on Instagram of his family playing Heads Up, however when the clip ended, a camera roll popped up which included a picture that appeared to be of a man’s genitals.

His brother Scott, also an actor, got in a quick dig on Twitter soon after, saying he had not looked at his phone.

‘Was off social media for the day yesterday. So. What’d I miss?’, he tweeted.

Chris’ Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo had a more understanding response, tweeting: ‘Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See… silver lining.’

Meanwhile actress Kat Dennings sparked a debate about double standards over the understanding shown to Chris.

Following the incident fans began flooding social media with pictures of the actor with his dog so the photo would not be seen.

‘The public respect for Chris Evans’ privacy/feelings is wonderful,’ Two Broke Girls actress Kat tweeted.

‘Wouldn’t it be nice if it extended to women when this kind of thing happens?’

In 2014 explicit pictures of female stars, including Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna, were leaked online after at least 50 iCloud accounts were hacked, in what was dubbed ‘The Fappening’.
