Chris Hughes has thrown his support behind his former girlfriend Jesy Nelson by retweeting a Twitter thread documenting the cruel trolling she was subjected to.
The thread is entitled: "how cyber bullying and trolls had an impact on former little mix member jesy nelson: an educational thread".
The Twitter thread also features snaps of Jesy from her BBC Three trolling documentary Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out and images of when she first joined Little Mix.

Chris and Jesy dated between January 2019 and April 2020 and the former Love Island star also featured in Odd One Out.
The thread shows how Jesy's trolling began from the moment Little Mix was formed on The X Factor and she was compared to her band mates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards.
It also details how after the band won the singing competition in 2011, one of the first messages Jesy saw on her phone read: “You are the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. How on Earth were you ever put in this girl band? You deserve to die.”
It’s not the first time Chris has shown his support for his singer ex.
When the 29 year old announced she was leaving Little Mix earlier this month for the sake of her mental health, Chris took to Instagram to back his former girlfriend.
Commenting beneath Jesy’s post revealing she was leaving the girl group, Chris wrote: "The best " followed by a red heart emoji.

Fans were clearly impressed by the star's ability to push aside his prior feelings towards Jesy and show his support as one person replied to him: "thanks for being there for her every time she needed it." [sic]
Another wrote: "You are a real man," alongside a white heart emoji, while a third chimed: "thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting her," [sic] with a white heart emoji.
A fourth added: "I don't think she's been right since you two split, hope there's a way back for you both," followed by a red heart emoji and a blue heart emoji.
Jesy is now dating Our Girl actor Sean Sagar, while Chris has remained single since their split.
Sean, who Jesy has been dating since the summer, has remained rather quiet on the subject of her departure, but he did take to Instagram to tell his followers: “Don’t be afraid to fail” the day after Jesy’s announcement.
Since leaving the group Jesy has removed all mentions of Little Mix from her social media bios.
