Adam's post comes after Danny hit out at Love Island stars earlier this month, in now deleted tweets that appeared to call the Love Island contestants "b***ends."

The tweet, that has now been deleted, mocked one Islander in particular, Faye Winter, 26, as the actor, 30, described her “shades of lipstick”.

Danny questioned the concept of the show and the impact of putting people in a villa to find love on the younger generation.

The soap star said: “We live in a world where our younger generation are pushed to ‘find love’ in a villa with the biggest bunch of b***ends you’d ever meet in your life.

“Aged 24 and ‘found love’ on a TV show with a girl who has 72 different shades of lipstick colours that make you want to give up.”

The TV star received a mixed response to his tweet with some agreeing with his rant.

However, not everyone agreed with the soap star with Love Island fans rushing to their keyboards to defend the reality show.

One Love Island fan fumed: “Gosh, it’s an entertainment show. It’s fun. Take a chill pill and go back to bed old man.”
