Foo Fighters Drop Surprise EP Featuring Arcade Fire, Dead Kennedys Covers

Foo Fighters have dropped a surprise five-song EP, titled 01070725, which features live covers of Arcade Fire and Dead Kennedys.

The EP includes the band’s live cover of the punk classic “Holiday in Cambodia” by the Dead Kennedys from the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

The new EP also features a cover of Arcade Fire’s “Keep the Car Running” from the Live at the BBC Radio 1 Six Weeks of Summer festival that same year.

Other tracks on the EP includes “If Ever,” originally released as the B-side of “Pretender,” a bonus track from Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace, “Seda,” and a demo of album track “Come Alive.”

The five-song 01070725 EP is part of Foo Fighters’ Foo Files series, a celebration of next year’s 25th anniversary of the band’s debut album.

The series also includes the 00050525 Live in Rosewell EP that features a 2005 show at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico, 00070725 Live at Studio 606, recorded in September 2007 in Northridge, California, 00111125 Live In London and the three-song 00950025.
