Geddy Lee said in a recent interview that parts of his “Big Beautiful Book of Bass” may only appeal to “the most nerdy of nerds.”
“These [basses] are pieces of mid-century art to me, and I wanted the photography to reflect that,” the Rush frontman said, referring to the pictures of 250 famous and rare basses featured in the book.
Photographer Richard Sibbald helped Lee to capture these photos worldwide.
The stories behind these instruments will appeal to a wide range of music fans, Lee. opined
Lee’s new interview was recorded for the upcoming documentary-concert film, Cinema Strangiato 2019, which is set to premiere on August 21.
The film also shows performances and backstage footage from the Canadian rock band’s 2015 R40 tour.
