Jenny Mollen dropped her 5-year-old son with Jason Biggs on his head over the weekend, resulting in a fractured skull and a terrifying stay at an ICU in New York, she revealed on Instagram.
“It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely,” she wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone…”
The “Live Fast Die Hot” author, 39, shared that Sid is busy “eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones” as he continues to heal.
In her post, Mollen expressed her gratitude for the care she and her family received during the ordeal.
“I am forever grateful to Lenox hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid. Thank you to all of the nurses, neurologists, pediatricians, residents, cafeteria staff and brave women that keep the visitor‘s bathrooms clean. Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself holding onto her son, whose face is covered.
“But @biggsjason Thank god for you! Thank god, thank god, thank god.”
She and actor Biggs, 40, are also parents to son Lazlo Biggs. After welcoming her two children, Mollen became vocal about the struggles of motherhood.
“I just feel like there’s no reason to pretend that it’s easy [being a mom] since like, we’re all you know, going through the same stuff and all have the same struggles,” Mollen told Page Six earlier this year.
