Josh Gad wants you to know it’s OK to cry

He may play a famous snowman, but he’s no frosty.

Josh Gad took to Twitter on Thursday for some light crying amid the coronavirus pandemic, with the intention of reassuring his followers that it’s OK to be in your feelings right now.

Wearing a hat that references “Frozen 2” — which was a Christmas gift from his co-star Kristen Bell — Gad, 39, begins his video by saying, “[I was going] to cry for a second. And I was gonna do it by myself, and then I thought, ‘You know what? It’s important for everybody to understand that we’re all going through so much uncertainty right now.’”

“We’re gonna get through it,” he continues. “And it’s hard and I’m emotional because I hate seeing our kids deprived of their normal lifestyles and not being able to understand why all of this is happening so quickly, but I’m also emotional because of all the incredible things that so many of you out there are doing on a daily basis.”

Gad and wife Ida Darvish are the parents of two daughters, 9-year-old Ava and 6-year-old Isabella.

Gad says he knows “it’s a struggle right now for so many people” out there, but “we’ll get through this.”
