Justin Chambers has reportedly been addressing some mental health issues at a facility in Connecticut.
The actor, 49, announced he was leaving the cast of Grey's Anatomy after 15 years on Friday.
Now it's claimed he has checked into Privé-Swiss – a facility that provides luxury, private mental health treatment – to help deal with "stress" and to seek "life-coaching", Page Six reports.
A source told the outlet: “Justin has been at [Privé-Swiss] for stress and life coaching. He has been seen in the area at different places over several weeks including at a restaurant at Old Saybrook — where he was nice and chatted to other diners, but looked very thin.”
Another source also shared: "Justin was at Privé-Swiss being treated for stress, depression and life-coaching. There is a lot going on with [‘Grey’s Anatomy”] behind-the-scenes right now.”
The Mirror has approached Justin Chambers' representative for comment.
The reports come as Justin revealed he is set to leave Grey's Anatomy.
In a statement to Page Six, Chambers said: “There’s no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that’s defined so much of my life for the past 15 years.
"For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices.
"And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time.”
He continued: “As I move on from ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ I want to thank the ABC family, Shonda Rimes, original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, and the rest of the amazing cast and crew, both past and present, and, of course, the fans for an extraordinary ride."
Justin has played Dr. Alex Karev the medical drama since it began in 2005.
The only remaining original cast members left working on the Emmy Award winning show are Ellen Pompeo, James Pickens Jr. and Chandra Wilson.
