Karen Gravano and her daughter’s teen years couldn’t be more different

“Mob Wives” star Karen Gravano and her daughter Karina Seabrook’s teenage years are drastically different.

“It’s crazy because my mom at 19, I feel like lived this lifestyle where it was like the glitz and the glamour of the mob — the nice dinners — and her father was well known,” the “Made In Staten Island” star told Page Six. “Me at 19 is like, I’m visiting my family in prison. I’m dealing with the repercussions of it and that’s why I know where that life gets you.”

Karen, 46, is the daughter of the former Gambino crime family’s Sammy “The Bull” Gravano. Sammy, 73, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, but was released two years early in September 2017.

“I was living the high life of being a mob princess and I didn’t understand anything different,” Gravano added. “So especially at that time when my father went to prison, I wanted to be part of that lifestyle even though I didn’t understand it. I just didn’t want to lose what I had because that’s all I’ve ever known.”

“Karina has seen the other side of it … all she’s ever known is prison visits and holidays without family members that you love. So we’re in two totally different paths but I think we were both affected by the lifestyle that our families were into because it pushed us to want to go in different directions.”

“Made In Staten Island” premieres Jan. 14 at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
