Kate Wright reveals real reason behind decision to quit TOWIE before marrying Rio Ferdinand

Kate Wright has opened up on her decision to leave The Only Way Is Essex back in 2017, revealing the real reason she opted for a life away from the spotlight.

After her relationship with now-husband Rio Ferdinand was revealed, Kate decided to leave the show which she had appeared on for two years.

Speaking about her decision, the 28-year-old revealed that it “wasn’t healthy” for Rio’s three children, Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, eight, to be reading headlines about her.

“It wasn't healthy for the children to read headlines about me.”

Kate started dating Rio in 2017, two years after his wife Rebecca Ellison tragically passed away from breast cancer.
