Kelvin Fletcher, 35, has been putting the hours in with professional partner, Oti Mabuse, 29, ahead of this weekend’s second live show of Strictly Come Dancing 2019.
The former Emmerdale actor, who played Andy Sugden for 20 years in the ITV soap, uploaded videos from their rehearsals last night.
Kelvin revealed he had suffered a major gaffe as he forgot his training clothes to practise their Waltz for Saturday night.
The soap star credited Oti for “saving the day” as she gave him a pair of her leggings to wear and was surprised they fit him.
When you turn up to rehearsals and forget your training gear
Kelvin wrote on the video clip: “When you turn up to rehearsals and forget your training gear.”
As he showed off his skintight leggings, Kelvin said: “Look at those little bad boys, knee pads and Oti’s leggings.”
He added: “Oti’s let me wear her leggings,” to which his dance partner praised: “Look nice on you.”
Kelvin joked: “They shouldn’t really fit, but they do.”
He wrote on the video: “@OtiMabuse Saves the day.”
It wasn’t the first blunder Kelvin has suffered this week as his wife, Elizabeth, revealed his major fail on Sunday.
The Strictly favourite’s spouse teased him as she pointed out he had only shaved one of his legs.
Filming him walking in front of her, Elizabeth showed one of Kelvin’s legs was hairy while the other was shaven.
Thankfully for him, his fail wasn’t noticed during his debut routine as he wore long trousers.
Kelvin topped the leaderboard on Strictly Come Dancing last week, scoring 32 points for his sizzling Samba with Oti.
This weekend, the pair will be dancing the Waltz to song What the World Needs Now by Burt Bacharach.
The pair are now the new favourites to win the show, after their impressive routine which saw Kelvin show off some major hip action.
Speaking about their achievement on spin-off, It Takes Two, yesterday, Kelvin said the judges’ reaction was “totally unexpected”.
He said: “Our jaws were on the floor when we got that first eight from Craig [Revel Horwood].”
Kelvin was a last minute addition to the show as he replaced Made in Chelsea star, Jamie Laing, who was forced to pull out due to an injury.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
