Lorraine Kelly was filmed downing a shot as she celebrated beer gardens re-opening in England following the latest national lockdown.

Pubs with beer gardens and outdoor spaces were allowed to open their doors once again on Monday 12 April after months of no customers.

The 61 year old television host was clearly over the moon by the re-opening of the venues as she took to social media to share photos of herself outside of a London pub with her daughter Rosie.

Posting to her 438,000 Instagram followers, a bare-faced Lorraine uploaded an image of herself sat outside a pub in London's Belgravia as she sat with Rosie and her boyfriend.

Lorraine wrote to her fans: "The pubs are OPEN! With @rosiekellysmith and @jamesbannister #horseandgroom."

Rosie later took to her own Instagram page to share a clip of her mum taking a swig from a shot glass, as a voice in the background confirms the green liquid is Sambuca.

She wrote atop the video: "Happy pubs are open day," tagging her famous mum, who hilariously exclaims: "Oh my!" after consuming the drink.

Lorraine was flooded by comments from followers based in her native Scotland, who are yet to be allowed back into beer gardens.

One wrote: "So jealous! Still confined to garden drinking," as a second added: "Still all shut here! Have a large one on me."

Meanwhile, a third commented: "I'm stuck up in Scotland, have one for me."

Lorraine is currently enjoying a well-deserved break from her hit ITV morning show, being replaced by Cat Deeley and Ranvir Singh.

Viewers of the show were left in hysterics on Monday after Ranvir was caught texting live on air.

During the programme, she discussed the reaction to Prince Philip's death and highlights from the BAFTAs, but it was when the presenter checked in with Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond on This Morning that the blunder occurred.

As the show crossed back over to the Lorraine studio, eagle-eyed viewers spotted that Ranvir was scrolling on her phone. Ranvir, who wasn't expecting the live feed to be back with her so soon, looked mortified and said: "Ooh…hello!"

The presenter giggled her way through the next link, wrapping up the show. "That's all for today. Strictly star Danny Mac and Boy George…hurrah… join me tomorrow bye!", Ranvir told viewers and could be seen laughing as the camera panned away from her.

Fans were quick to pick up the blunder, with one tweeting: "Ranvir is so iconic on her phone @ranvir0 please present forever thank you #Lorraine."
