Love Island star Kaz Kamwi shares reason she’s ‘not looking for love’

As a new series of Love Island gets set to begin, a contestant from last year's show has shared they're not "looking for love" now.

Kaz Kamwi, 26, had a bumpy relationship with Tyler Cruickshank on the show but the couple came out stronger and left together.

Four months later the pair decided to split and became the first official pairing from the 2021 series to go their separate ways.

Now, Kaz has decided she's not really looking for love and told OK!: "I’m not particularly looking at the moment. I’m going with the flow but mainly focusing on myself."

Despite closing the door on love for now to focus on herself, the stunning star will be tuning into the new series of the show, which starts on 6 June.

"I'll be tuning in. I’m excited it's coming back! Everything is switching up this year so it’s looking promising," Kaz shared.

She also gave some advice to new islanders, and said: "Have fun and enjoy every single moment in there because you only get that opportunity once."

Kaz has kept in touch with others who appeared on the 2021 series and admitted she doesn't think of them as "co-stars," but as "friends."

She shared: "I keep in touch with Lib, Sharon, Abi, Faye, Rachel and a few more. I don’t even see them as co-stars, just my friends and it’s great.

"Life has been fabulous since leaving the villa. I loved my life before and I love my life now. I’ve met amazing people and also had so many amazing opportunities come my way."

Kaz, who also told us about an exciting up-coming collaboration with Easilocks, is currently living it up on holiday with Liberty Poole, Millie Court and Lucinda Strafford.

Showing their unwavering bond since the show, the 2021 stars partied in a hot tub with Too Hot To Handle season three winner Beaux Raymond and documented the fun on their respective social media pages.

Kaz's chat with OK! came after she took part in ITV2 series Celebrity Karaoke Club, appearing alongside other famous faces including Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause and Ibiza Weekender’s Callum Izzard.

Kaz told us she always gets up at karaoke, admitting it's "way more fun" that way.

"It was such a fun show to film. 10/10 vibes. The worst part was definitely voting people out," she shared.

Kaz continued: "Everyone just coming together and letting loose was one of the best moments. I think every duet I did (and solo) was pretty iconic."

Kaz explained that Carly Simon's You're So Vain is her go-to, admitting it's "after watching How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days over 50 times."

The Love Islander also said she "loves" Chrishell, and that the Selling Sunset star "delivered" during her time on the show.

Celebrity Karaoke Club starts Monday 6th June, 22:35pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub
