Love Island’s Maura Higgins opened up on her new-found fame after being swamped with job offers since winning over the nation during her time in the ITV2 villa.
The Irish beauty, who revealed she’s currently back at home to film a secret project, opened up on her social media silence after concerning fans with her lack of posts online as she continues to keep busy.
Curtis Pritchard’s other-half took to her Instagram stories to share a one-to-one with fans as she reassured them that her absence is only because she’s been so busy with her new career.
“Hi everyone, I’m so sorry I’ve not been active on my page for so so long. Things have just been so bloody crazy since leaving the villa and I’ve just been working constantly. Between work and meetings my brain has just been ahhh,” she told fans while sitting in the back of a car.
“I’m still in Ireland. I’m filming something at the moment but I can’t really say what it is. The weather is just s**t. Wind and rain, but I’m used to it.”
It comes as Maura continues to embark on her busy career, while beau Curtis does the same as he prepares for his appearance on The Greatest Dancer.
Maura’s co-star Molly-Mae Hague, who is currently loved-up with Tommy Fury, recently revealed how the pair are struggling to spend time together following their romance on the show.
Appearing on Hits Radio, 20-year-old Molly-Mae discussed Curtis and Maura’s romance, saying she and Tommy have been seeing plenty of each other in comparison.
"Tommy and I went on a double date with Maura and Curtis which was really sweet. I think everyone's just so busy at the moment like couples even struggling to see each other," she explained.
She added: "I know Maura and Curtis have been apart for a while. Me and Tommy were apart for a while, so you know, if I'm not even seeing my boyfriend, it's unrealistic that you can try and like meet up with everyone.
"But I know that when things start to calm down, we'll probably all start trying to meet up and do things together, because I did make some really good friends in there.”
Despite Molly-Mae’s confession, Maura and Curtis put on a romantic display as they reunited after days apart, sharing a sweet video with fans on social media to mark their reunion.
Speaking in the clip as he cuddles Maura and plants a kiss on her head, Curtis says: "Finally back with this one. I missed her, it's good to see her."
A besotted Maura then shared a clip of Curtis doing the washing up, clad in his black boxers, to her own Instagram.
Speaking about the long-distance relationship, Maura revealed that she wouldn’t take any excuses if Curtis was unfaithful in their romance.

She told Grazia: “Obviously, we're going to be busy now, but I feel like if we both like each other enough we will make time for each other.
“I’m not a girl to be on edge all the time thinking, ‘I wonder what he's doing?’ “I trust someone until they do me wrong, and if they do me wrong, that's it. There are no second chances with me. You're gone.”
With it being reported Maura and Curtis have seen each other just four times since leaving the Love Island villa, the ring girl recently shared a heartwarming message pining over her beau.
Sharing a throwback photo of the pair kissing, the Love Island star wrote: “Not long till I’m back in your arms.”
And showing his affection for the Irish model, Curtis replied: “Can’t wait!” alongside a love heart emoji. Their co-stars were also quick to comment, with Molly-Mae Hague writing: “The best.” While series champion Amber Gill quipped: “Tooooo cute!”
