Lucy Verasamy, 38, shocked her fans as she tweeted a weather map, which showed heavy downpours getting ready to sweep the whole of the UK. In view of her 162,000 Twitter followers, she wrote: “It’s raining almost everywhere today: not seen the heavens open like this in a while. “Give yourself longer to get anywhere lots of roads congested, buses & trains packed, taxis taken, uber surge etc.”(sic) Fans rushed to comment on the post, as many fumed at the bad May weather.
Temperatures are set to struggle
One person replied: “When will we see some proper summer weather?”
Another person fumed: “Sick of this rain. It’s May,” while a third person commented: “Lucy, please tell us summer is coming soon. I need to get the soft top down on that MG and feel that warm sun.”
The ITV favourite later tweeted a further weather update as she posted a forecast issued by the Metropolitan Office.
She captioned the post: “How the windy, wet weather is moving today (expect lightning, thunder & hail into the south later) press play.”
Meanwhile, the beauty delivered her latest weather forecast where she sported a tight burgundy top and fitted skirt.
The brunette beauty wore her dark tresses in her signature style, adding a highlighted pink blush and plum lip.
During the forecast, she told viewers: “The heavens opened this morning and we haven’t seen rain quite so extensive or widespread for quite sometime.
“The rain steady and relentless in the next few hours across many locations, particularly across northern and eastern zones.”
She continued: “To accompany the wet weather, strong gusty north winds, from the near North sea. A very chilly feel giving the time of year. Temperatures are set to struggle.
“Sleet and snow continuing across the higher grounds in Scotland.
“Beyond this, intense downpours across central and southern Britain. Rumbles of thunder, blustery, with a chance of some hail.”
Elsewhere, Lucy addressed the bizarre May weather conditions in a recent Instagram post, where she shared a fun quote.
The picture contained a quote which said: “Me: Will it be hot, cold, sunny or rainy today?
She captioned the post, which was shared in view of her 99,200 followers: “Ain’t that the truth.”
