Lucy Verasamy: ‘Where’s my invite?’ ITV weather star in awkward exchange with colleague

ITV weather star Lucy Verasamy, 38, hinted she wasn’t impressed with her co-stars’ outing without her as she asked where her invite was. Alex Deakin, 45, shared a picture of him and his companions at a golf event with his 15,000 followers. He wrote: “One more round… #ElGolfo #SpotTheWeatherPresenters,” followed by multiple sunshine emojis. Lucy responded to the tweet, writing: “Er. Where was my invite?!”

Others reacted to Lucy’s reply with one writing: “They to scared to get beat by a lady.”(sic)

A second simply commented: “#awks!”

Back in the summer, Lucy revealed she had started playing golf and had even received advice from a Ryder Cup star.

In September, Lucy went to the Algarve, Portugal to improve on her golf skills, admitting she had never lifted a club before last year.

Criticising her moves, she claimed she was “constantly inconsistent” and needed more lessons.

But, the brunette beauty later sought advice from former golf captain Paul McGinley, 52.

She told the Daily Mail: “Correcting my slightly wonky alignment with the help of a nifty app also proved invaluable.

“Unexpectedly, I had a brief driving-range chat with former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, who was there hosting his junior tournament.”

She added: “I might be good enough to play by the time I retire. Ideal.”

Lucy also gave her 89,000 Instagram fans an insight into her golf training by sharing three snaps of her in action.

She commented: “Fair weather golfer – a look back to last year as a first timer in the algarve in the @travelmail (link in bio)

Aside from golf, Lucy previously revealed what else keeps her in shape.

She told Now Magazine: “I go to Paola’s Bodybarre (based in London).

“It’s a hybrid of pilates, yoga, ballet and cardio all rolled into one. It works all layer of your abdominals too.”

Lucy added she also does a lot of walking and sometimes cycles to work.
