Maynard James Keenan Provides Update On New Tool Album

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has issued an update on the progress of the band’s forthcoming new album, much to the delight of fans who have been anticipating new music since Maynard promised it while accepting the Icon Award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2018.

“Update- Final vocals tracked MONTHS ago. Then U.S.-UK-Euro run w #APC. If Tool all inst are tracked, long process of Mixing now. Meanwhile write/film/track w @puscifer for #puscifer2020 & troll the band FBs with wine posts. #funnyshit #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking,” Keenan tweeted.

The band has not released new music since their fourth studio album, 10,000 Days in 2006. Meanwhile, Maynard’s other band, A Perfect Circle released their fourth album, Eat the Elephant in April of 2018.
