Welcome to Instagram and the twenty-first century, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry!
Before becoming a royal, the Duchess deleted her personal Instagram (along with all her other social media accounts) but now she is back on that Insta life.
Except this time it is a joint account shared with her husband.
On Tuesday, the royals launched their official account and if you’re not yet following it for some reason… what are you even doing?
Go follow @sussexroyal !!
We should all feel extremely blessed that the couple decided to share some of their noble life with us, especially because Meghan and Harry are due to welcome their first child this month.
The timing is impeccable and we are so ready for all the baby Sussex pics to grace our feed.
The royal couple announced that their IG account will be used for both their work and personal moments.
“Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues,” the couple captioned their first-ever joint post.
“We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal. – Harry & Meghan.”
And while their cover photo appeared to resemble a modern-day wedding invitation, the highnesses also shared some of their favorite photos highlighting themselves hard at work.
The nine photos included special moments from the royal tour to Australia last fall, Harry’s work with the military and his conservation efforts with elephants (aw) along with Meghan joining the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.
The last photo was a fancy black-and-white shot of the couple from their tour Down Under waving to the crowd while holding hands, according to People.
Harry and Meghan naturally racked up hundreds of thousands of followers in just minutes, yet they only follow three accounts so far: ClarenceHouse, KensingtonRoyal and TheRoyalFamily (the official palace accounts).
The news of their social media involvement is the first step in their transition to a new office, as the couple recently moved out of Kensington Palace and into Buckingham Palace, where the Queen resides.
However, Meghan and Harry will be living at their new home in Windsor come later this spring once they move out of their Kensington Palace cottage.
They have been removed from the official Kensington Palace Twitter account, which now has a profile picture of William, Kate and their three children.
The Twitter bio now reads: “The official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Royal Foundation, based at Kensington Palace.”
William and Kate’s office remains at Kensington, as well as their family home.
Back in her Hollywood days and long before she said “I do” to a prince, Meghan was an avid Instagram user.
She would regularly post photos of her dogs, friends, and her travels, as many women regularly do.
But in order to be accepted by the royal family and before she could even consider donning a dainty hat, she had to give up her personal social media accounts.
Now, the actress turned Duchess is back!
And royal fans can expect to see all of the couple’s meaningful moments through their ‘Gram.
May we all take this time to offer a curtsy to the royal couple’s marvelous social media debut.
