The Duchess of Sussex ’s former Suits co-stars are are set to rake in thousands thanks to a surge in her profile dubbed “the Meghan factor”.
Meghan’s income from repeat fees for her TV legal drama Suits is still pouring in, mainly as a result of her popularity around the world.
The new royal has retired from acting and no longer gets paid £356,000 per season of the show.
But she is entitled to substantial “residual” payments when an episode is aired.
On top of that, all seven series in which she starred as fast-rising lawyer Rachel Zane are now available on Amazon Prime, adding tens of thousands more to her bank account.
Cast members will also benefit further from foreign syndication of the series, as well as merchandising sales that prominently feature Rachel Zane mugs and T-shirts.
A Hollywood source said: “The whole cast of Suits benefits from the Meghan factor driving show re-runs.”
