‘Mrs. Maisel’ cast went to Disneyland while filming in Paris

Some of the cast members of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” went to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland Paris, while filming overseas.

“Disneyland Paris is such a weird place because, and I’ve said this before, it’s a celebration of America in a place, in a country that kind of hates Americans,” Michael Zegen told Page Six during the “Mrs. Maisel” press junket last week, explaining that there are “old-timey baseball” billboards and American chocolate shops on the main street of the amusement park.

“We don’t have to keep talking about Disneyland,” Zegen laughed, while Tony Shalhoub added that he didn’t join them because he’d been to Disneyland in America.

In the Season 2 premiere of the Emmy-winning Amazon show, Midge Maisel and her father Abe must travel to Paris to find her mother, who moved there on a whim. Rachel Brosnahan, Marin Hinkle and Tony Shalhoub were all flown out for filming and we’re told they also brought Zegen out for five days despite his character never actually being in Paris.

“I was very thankful because I was left behind and I was just like, ‘What am I going to do now?’” Zegen said.

Shalhoub told us he spent most of his off-time with his wife visiting museums and walking around the city.

One thing everyone did while in Paris though was over-indulge in cheese and bread.

“I’ve never eaten so much bread [or] chocolate croissants,” Hinkle told us.
