Peter Andre has revealed he’s changed his mind about having a vasectomy.

Last year the 48 year old said he was considering getting the snip if his doctor wife Emily Andrea decided she didn’t want any more children, but now Pete has told OK! he’s backtracked on the idea.

He told us: “When I said that I did not expect it to blow up like that. But no, no snippage!

“I think that’s taking something out of me so it’s not for me.”

Pete previously said lockdown had made him and his wife talk about having another child, but if Emily decided no, he would consider being the one taking precautions.

The Grease star, who is dad to Theo, four and Amelia, seven, with Emily, and Junior, 16, and Princess, 13, from his marriage to Katie Price, explained: “We are talking about it. If we’re talking about it, it will eventually happen, right?

"Ironically lockdown has brought us both closer together and so we’ll have more of a chance

"But if Emily is really not up for it, maybe I’ll have the snip – only if it’s reversible!

"I think every guy is scared of having the snip because it means a closed chapter.

"But why should the woman always be the one to take precautions?"

And recently writing in her exclusive OK! column, Emily said that while she’s ruled out having another baby at the moment, she “might change her mind”.

She said: “So many of my friends have had babies this year and they'll send me pictures of them breastfeeding. It just makes me think about how much I loved it.

"Don't get me wrong, though, it's hard work when they're that young and I don't miss the sleepless nights, but I do miss the lovely feeling of having a newborn.

Pete also discussed adding to their brood during an exclusive interview and photo shoot with his son Junior for Father’s Day with OK!.

The singer and actor says the coronavirus pandemic has pushed back his deadline for having another child.

“I did say we had this year to decide and I didn’t want to be changing nappies after I’m 50, but because of Covid I’ve pushed it back a year to 51!” said Pete, who views are “never say never” on baby number five.

Pete’s comments came as Junior also revealed that he doesn’t want to have any more siblings during our interview.

When asked with how he would feel about becoming a big brother again, Junior – who has a total of five younger siblings and one older brother – told us: "I think the age gap would be too big.”

“If Emily got pregnant now that means the baby would be born when I’m almost 17 and I don’t think the same strong bond would be there. I’ll be close to moving out of the house."

He added: "I want to be the big brother they love so much and not someone they hardly ever see. I also have six siblings already so there are quite a few of us.”
