Stacey Solomon has revealed that her son Rex is finally home from the hospital after his nightmare fall last weekend that resulted in sleepless nights spent in hospital.
Stacey – who is pregnant with her second child with Joe, and has sons Zach, 13, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships – had admitted it has been one of her ‘most emotional weeks’.
The Loose Women presenter had been keeping fans up to date with what was going on after two-year-old Rex had a nasty fall that required stitches.
However, the mother was overjoyed to inform her Instagram followers that she was able to bring her son home on Saturday.
A cheerful photo of Rex posing with their sausage dog Peanut and puppy Theo accompanied the news.
‘Home Sweet Home – it’s been a funny old week. But being home and seeing Rex back with his fur brother and sister has just made my heart happy,’ she wrote in the caption of the sweet snap.
‘Theo’s face is just a mood it’s exactly how I feel right now to be tucked up with these three.
‘Thank you for your loveliness all week. I love you all Happy Saturday, I’m going to rest this bump and my swollen hoofs. I think I could sleep for a week Pickle we love you to the moon and back always…’
This delightful news comes after Rex was back in hospital only 48 hours after first being discharged, after his temperature ‘spiked’.
After getting the all-clear to head home earlier in the week, Stacey shared she had to take her and Joe’s boy back to the medical facility, and she expected to be ‘in for the long haul’.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories on Thursday night: ‘Aw guys… We are back in triage because Rex’s temperature has been spiking tonight.
‘They’re sure it’s all ok but because he’s little and post op they won’t take any risks, so it looks like we are in for the long haul tonight. (sic)’
In another slide of the pair in a hospital bed, she added: ‘We ended up back where we left on Tuesday. Everything is ok and stable…Thank you all so much for asking. It’s been a really long night, and a long week and I’m just so grateful for the NHS care, and kindness. I’m so grateful that pickle is ok…
Grateful for fans’ kindness, she went on: ‘Honestly I’m very tired and emotional but I can’t even begin to describe the comfort your messages and kind words brought to me all through the night. They were like the cuddle I really needed at 3am. So thank you.
‘I’m going to try so hard to look after us all today. Rex, baby and me and get us home and safe as soon as possible. Love you all lots.’
