Many fans were thrilled to see Rachel Bilson be a guest on Nick Viall’s podcast. However, rumors that they’re dating started from there.
That’s partially because of the comments they would leave on each other’s Instagram posts. What was really going on between them? This is what Bilson has to say about those comments and if she’s dating the former star of The Bachelor.
Some fans think Nick Viall and Rachel Bilson were flirting
Nick Viall first tried to find love on The Bachelorette in season 10 with Andi Dorfman. He ended the season being the runner-up. He then returned for season 11 trying to win Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart. Viall wasn’t successful but he eventually became the star of The Bachelor for season 21.
He ended the season picking Vanessa Grimaldi and proposing to her. They later broke up and Viall is still single.
Bilson was a guest on Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files. They shared photos from when they recorded and Viall wrote in the caption, “Will we choose to forgo our individual rooms…” Bilson wrote in the comment section, “He slid into her…dms #sheaccepted,” according to People.
They continued to leave cute comments on each other’s Instagram page. Bilson posted a picture of herself standing beside a plant. Viall commented on it with, “nice foliage.” He later commented on another picture with, “nice dress.”
Viall didn’t really give an answer about their relationship to People. “I’m not really defining any relationships these days,” he said in September. “But I do think she has a great Instagram and it is very easy to comment on her content.”
She previously didn’t want to talk about their relationship
People were starting to notice how close Bilson and Viall are and it made them wonder if they’re dating. However, there was a point where Bilson refused to talk about it.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” she told Us Weekly. Jaime King then said,”That’s private; we’ll keep that private, for now.” Now that time has passed, the actress has addressed their connection again and was more open about it.
Bilson said they’re just friends
The Hart of Dixie actress got to address her relationship with Viall. She said they’re nothing more than friends.
“We’re just friends,” she told Us Weekly. “We’ve always just been friends. He’s a really nice guy.” That also sometimes mean leaving little comments on each other’s pictures.
She said their previous comments complimenting each other’s clothes were them “just messing around.” Bilson is rooting for Viall to find love on television again.
“He should,” she said. “He’s very entertaining. I tease him about it, but I don’t think he would ever do it.” What is going on in her own dating life these days?
“I’m certainly hoping to settle down when the right person comes,” she said. “I’m not trying to put pressure on myself.”
So Viall didn’t finally find love with Bilson, but she is hoping to see him on TV again.
