Royal Mother-Daughter Twinning! All the Times Kate Middleton and Charlotte Completely Coordinated

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte’s adventures in mother-daughter twinning started early. For the little royal’s christening in July 2015, the proud mom wore an off-white Alexander McQueen coat dress that would prove to be a favorite in her wardrobe, matching her daughter’s christening gown. The family heirloom is a replica of the historic royal christening gown first worn by Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter, also named Victoria, in 1841. It was worn by 62 royal babies (including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William) before it was deemed to fragile to continue using.

Kate wore the Alexander McQueen outfit again at Queen Elizabeth’s official birthday celebrations, Trooping the Colour, in 2016. However, she paired the ensemble with a pale pink fascinator that perfectly matched Charlotte’s dress of the same color.

The whole family got in on the color coordination during their tour of Canada in Sept. 2016. Blue was the color of the moment as they stepped off the plane, with Kate, Charlotte and George wearing shades of the lovely hue. Even Prince William’s tie was red and blue, excellently complementing his brood.

Kate adorably carried Princess Charlotte into church on Christmas Day in 2016, showing off her red stockings that matched the hints of the color in her coat collar. Plus, both accessorized with the color of the holiday: Kate with a red clutch, and her daughter with a bow in her hair.

Kate’s children served as members of the bridal party for her younger sister Pippa Middleton’s wedding in May 2017. Charlotte wore a white dress with a blush sash, the exact color of Kate’s head-to-toe look.

The mother-daughter duo certainly brought the color part to the 2017 Trooping the Colour. While celebrating on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Kate and Charlotte were all smiles while sporting bright shades of the color.

Kate and Charlotte looked brilliant in shades of blue as they departed Warsaw, Poland, for Germany during a tour in July 2017. Once again, Charlotte completed her look with a hair bow matching her dress.

Once again, the royals perfect the family photo – this time in pale blues. Charlotte rocks the same dress as she did for the tour in this official portrait, with also sees Kate, George and William in similar shades.

For the third time, Kate turned to her off-white coat dress by Alexander McQueen for a big event: the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. This time, she went with a pale yellow fascinator, but the crisp look gorgeously complemented the white dress Charlotte wore as a bridesmaid. Plus, both had headwear featuring florals!

Another year at Trooping the Colour, another perfectly matching look for Kate and Charlotte. This time, they opted for blues, which seems to be a favorite for the pair.
