Simon Cowell spending £15million on six-bedroom pad so Eric is close to school

If Simon Cowell gets his way, it will not only be Wombles that are wandering around Wimbledon, as he is planning to spend millions on a house in the area, so that his son Eric is close to his school.

While most parents have to look for which educational facilities are in their catchment area, Simon can do the opposite by finding the school before ensuring he snaps a property in its locality.

Of course, when looking for a family home, Simon knows enough bedrooms is a must, so with Eric and partner Lauren Silverman to have a roof over their heads, it would seem that six bedrooms would hit the spot.

Being one of the more upmarket suburbs of the capital, prices are at a premium but Simon probably didn’t break into a sweat, even if the price tag is in the region of £15 million.

The 59-year-old TV talent show judge is apparently heading across London, from Holland Park, to the south west corner of the capital to ensure that Eric get a space in a swanky school in the area.

Simon and Lauren are said to have drawn up a list of top schools that Eric could start at, after deciding that he will be educated in the UK, rather than in the United States.

With Simon reportedly worth in the region of £400 million, he will not raise an eyebrow at the £15 million price tag, as he ensures his son gets a place in their chosen school.

Property may be the key to future security but Simon will not be looking to keep his Holland Park home, as looks to shift it, though it may not affect his purchasing power for the new pad.
