Angry Bobby Norris has fired back at "ridiculously false" claims he was paid to tell the world he had Covid.

The TOWIE star is not impressed by an Instagram user who is convinced the star was taking cash to say he was struck down by the deadly disease.

He says he only responded as the person has more than 100,000 followers – and some people may believe what they are reading.

Bobby received a positive coronavirus test result yesterday – and updated his followers by posting a photo of himself looking sad as he lay in bed with his cute Yorkshire terrier.

He captioned the shot: "I’ve never felt so rough.. Just had my results back and I have tested positive for COVID-19.

"This is going to be a strange Christmas for many of us but we will get through it!! Roll on 2021…"

But one user accused the Essex star of making it all up for money.

That didn't go down well and Bobby shot him down – even posting his test results on his Instagram Story to prove the point.

He captioned the post: "Dear @hugomacqueenie, I was going to ignore this ridiculously false (and libellous) statement however as you have 118,000 followers that are reading and believing these lies it’s far too big an allegation to ignore.

"I have tested positive for coronavirus and haven’t received a penny to say so.. (I do have test results should you want to see them?)

"Who exactly is paying these alleged £5,000 fee’s to people in the public eye to “pretend they have it”..? This is disgusting to the thousands of people who have lost their lives to this virus and also those currently suffering with it like myself.."

Bobby's blunt post has attracted over 6,000 likes and 700 comments in the first 12 hours.

The TOWIE favourite received an outpouring of love following his worrying test result announcement.

Co-star Jess Wright commented on his post, saying: "Sending you well wishes Bob”.

His fans sent support too with one saying: "Feel better Bobby…Merry Christmas!"

Another wrote: "Hope you still manage to have a great Christmas xx".
