Archie wears the Ugg boots Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were given HOURS after Duchess’ pregnancy was announced

CAST your mind back to October 2018 and you'll remember that the whole world descended into royal baby fever when Meghan Markle announced that she was pregnant.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed the happy news after they touched down in Australia for their first royal tour as a married couple.

Hours later, the couple met Australia's Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife Lynne who gave Meghan and Harry a toy kangaroo and a pair of baby Uggs to say congratulations.

At the time, Meghan was delighted with the soft toy and revealed it was the first present they'd received while Harry beamed as he held the "awesome" Uggs.

And now just over a year later, baby Archie is finally old enough to wear the snug fur-lined boots.

Last night, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a photo of baby Archie all wrapped up in a bobble hat, brown cord jacket and the cosy boots as he cuddled his Dad.

The photo – which is thought to have been taken in Vancouver where the family are spending the Christmas break – was shared with the couple's 10m Instagram followers last night to mark New Years Eve.

Along with his baby Ugg boots, both Archie's coat and bobble hat were from British brand Boden.

This is the second time Meghan and Harry have dressed Archie in Boden after the seven-month-old was pictured in an adorable panda jumper by the brand for the Sussex family Christmas card.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shunned tradition this Christmas by spending the festive season 5,000 miles away from the Royal Family in Vancouver Island, Canada.

Although the details of their six-week break have largely remained private, the couple have reportedly given Archie "books, building blocks and a baby ball pit for Christmas".

According to US Weekly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "couldn't help" but spoil their seven-month-old son who is reportedly becoming quite a "social butterfly".

In more Royal Family news, Kate Middleton confessed to royal fans that she regretted her outfit choice on Christmas Day.

And The Queen always stays up until midnight on New Year’s Eve as she celebrates with Prince Philip at Sandringham.
