A MUM-TO-BE ended up in tears after her adorable baby gender reveal went horribly wrong.
A growing number of parents have ditched the OOT gender reveal parties for more intimate celebrations – and TikTok user Alyssa Quintos (@alyssa_quintos) is the latest to join the trend.
Instead of a huge gathering with family and friends, the mum-to-be, believed to be from the US, ordered a special cake from a bakery.
According to her, the all-white stunning cake was supposed to have a filling inside – and the colour of it, blue or pink, would reveal if they're expecting a boy or a girl.
Excited for the moment, Alyssa and her partner grabbed a phone and filmed their reaction.
The pair used two wine glasses and dug straight into the decorated cake, the now-viral video showed.

But rather than thrill and a glow on their face, the duo appeared slightly confused and disappointed, as the inside filling was totally white.
After laughing and then crying, Alyssa contacted the bakery, sharing a snap of the cake they had received.
Despite the fail, the young woman reassured that she didn't blame the company.
''I don't have anything bad to say about them – it's just an honest mistake.

''They were so apologetic about it, they made it right. They made me a new cake as soon as they could the next day and they didn't charge me for it.''
According to Alyssa, who devoured the initial cake, she didn't receive a refund for the blunder.

''I didn't get my money back for the first one, which I understand. But I also ate it because it tasted good – so you can't be that mad about it.''
After getting the replacement cake, the couple found out they were expecting a baby boy to join the family – and the parents couldn't have been any happier.
But despite the exciting news, numerous people on the social media platform were not impressed with the bakery behind the flop.
One said: ''Why would you not understand them not giving you money back for first cake??!!
''That's nuts. They owe you a free cake!!!! Or two!!!'' someone reckoned.
Another agreed, adding: ''What's crazy is it's literally not about the cake.
''It's about the experience and they completely took that from you!!''
A third wrote: ''It's the gas, the drive back, the time to email that counts too.
''They could've at least given you a discount on a future order.''
