I live in a van but haven’t used a toilet for FIVE years – I’ve found the best solution but I have to go in my kitchen | The Sun

A WOMAN who has lived in a van for five years has revealed she never had a toilet.

Sydney Ferbrache decided to live in a house on wheels and hasn't looked back – but that doesn't mean she hasn't gone without.

In a recent video posted to her TikTok account @divineontheroad she admitted she didn't have a toilet for five years as she lived in a van, but has recently bought one.

She said: "I have a toilet for the first time in five years.

"For the last several years the process goes as follows.

"Drink coffee, grab a shovel, find a spot, and dig.

We built tiny house in 7 days and can live on just £160 a month

We’re a family of 5 & live in a camper van, trolls always complain about one thing

"But no more."

Sydney, who finds herself in rural areas often just takes herself out to a private spot outside, but now she can do it in the comfort of her own home.

The young woman now has a dry flush toilet located in her kitchen which can be stored away under her bed.

She demonstrated how the toilet works using some orange peel, the silver foil in the toilet wraps it up, hiding the evidence.

She added that when there is 'liquid' she used a special solution she stores with her herbs and spices in her kitchen.

She explained: "If there was liquid I would grab my pee powder, which just for the fun risk, I like to keep with my seasonings.

"You would sprinkle that on top and you are ready to flush."

"If you're wondering if it smells, shockingly no," she added.

The best part of the new toilet for Sydney is that it can be removed from her van easily, meaning she can still go to the bathroom outside with a view.

The video has since gone viral with over one million views and over 120k likes.

People quickly took to the comments section of the post to share their thoughts and many questioned the idea of having a toilet in the kitchen.

One person wrote: "A toilet in the kitchen, that doesn't sound right."

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Reason 1002- why could never do van life full-time."
