I'm an Arby's employee, you can hack the menu to get extras added on for free

IT'S easier than you think to get extra food for free at fast-food restaurant chains.

Arby's is just one of the many restaurants with a secret menu that customers can use to grab some free food at most locations.

The popular chain has many secretly delicious ways that you can switch up your sandwich with no extra cost — but you have to ask.

One change you can make is called the Bread Switch, according to MenuHack.

Any bread used at Arby's can be switched out and used for another bread on any sandwich by customers when ordering.

A popular way to use this trick is to put the Classic Roast Beef sandwich on an onion roll.

It's also possible to add some secret sauces to your order for free at Arby's, including Arby's Red ranch, a side of au-jus sauce, or any other sauce that Arby's carries for any regular menu item. The only sauce that would cost extra to add is Arby's cheese sauce.

Adding any sauce of your choice not only gives you some extra flavor for free, but it allows you to customize the menu item and test lots of possibilities or cravings.

Another free addition available to customers is Arby's Onion Tanglers, which are tiny fried onion ring strips.

You can add the Onion Tanglers topping to any sandwich for some added crunch and flavor by just asking.
