Kate Middleton reveals her and Prince William don't know the royal baby's name but 'can't wait to find it out'

KATE Middleton and Prince William were the picture of happiness today as they spoke about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new baby.

The Duchess of Sussex gave birth in the early hours yesterday and Kate said she “can’t wait” to find out the royal baby’s name.

Kate and William, both 37, stepped out to launch a sailing regatta at the Cutty Sark this afternoon and were quizzed about Baby Sussex.

The Duchess of Cambridge gushed: “We're looking forward to meeting him and finding out what his name is going to be.

"Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays – it's such a great time of year to have a baby, spring's in the air.”

Prince William added he is “looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down”.

The heir to the throne added: "I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.

"I wish him all the best and hope over the next few days they will settle down and enjoy having a newborn in the family."

The couple had already passed on their well-wishes yesterday, writing on Instagram: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family."

It comes after Harry, 34, had yesterday gushed over his happiness at becoming a dad after Meghan, 37, gave birth to their son at 5.26am on Monday.

And it is hoped the baby could help to help heal the reported rift in the Royal family.

William and new dad Harry are said to be barely talking to each other – with fears their divisions could "expand rapidly".

A royal biographer claimed the rift between the pair may have stemmed from just one comment when Harry started dating former actress Meghan.

Today was the first time Kate and William have stepped out together in weeks, with Wills having most recently headed overseas on his own to New Zealand following the horrific mosque terror attacks.
