The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out alongside Prince William for a visit to Alexandra Park Sports Hub during the Cop26 summit. Queen Letizia was also seen earlier this week at Somiedo, in the north of Spain, during the Asturias Awards.

Queen Letizia, King Felipe VI and their daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia attended the 32th annual Exemplary Village of Asturias Awards in Somiedo, a small town in the north of Spain.

For the occasion, the Spanish monarch donned a long trench coat, dark brown trousers and matching boots.

Queen Letizia finished her look with a patterned scarf around her neck.

Although the royal opted for a more comfortable and appropriate look for the countryside, Queen Letizia has been highly criticised on other occasions.

Last month, Queen Letizia visited Roncesvalles, in Spain to walk part of a well-known pilgrim route.

The mother-of-two looked beautiful and very smart in a long trench coat but she decided to wear high heels.

Many took to social media to comment on her outfit and although some thought she looked like a “chic pilgrim”, many criticised her choice of footwear.

“Wow, and she walked one kilometre with heels… a bit extravagant,” said one Twitter user.

“Since when this is a pilgrim’s look?” another Twitter user said.

“Wearing a Boss trench for a walk, she definitely won’t go unnoticed,” commented a third one.

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, visited Alexandra Park Sports Hub during the Cop26 summit earlier this week.

She looked stunning with a simple jumper, green gilet and jeans.

The Duchess decided to rewear her signature £250 See By Chloé boots.

The green quilted gilet, which is by designer Ganni and priced at £255, made online searches for ‘quilted vest’ in the UK increase over 1300 percent that same day.

Compared to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Letizia and her husband are rarely seen in the countryside.

As a lover of the great outdoors, Kate Middleton always dresses appropriately for outdoor occasions.

She is not afraid to put on a pair of rain boots and a Barbour jacket and she still looks as glamourous as ever.

A fashion expert at Design Bundles commented: “Kate Middleton is the ultimate style icon, combining classic elegance with the powerful ability to champion the causes she cares about and communicate meaning with every outfit she wears.

“The Duchess of Cambridge’s ensemble for the Scouts #promise to the planet event was winningly casual.

“She cut a clean and graceful figure while refusing to divert attention from the important cause of action on climate change she and Prince William were supporting.”
