Baz Halpin, the music touring creative director who founded Silent House 11 years ago, announced an ambitious expansion Tuesday, with his brainchild to now be known as Silent House Group and expanded into three separate companies — Silent House Studiios, Silent House Events and Silent House Productions.
Key hires in the expansion include Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, who will head up Silent House Productions. Bracco will be president of the newly formed division, and Gierahn will serve as chief content officer & head of production.
“We are thrilled to be taking this next step in the evolution of Silent House as we continue collaborating with our partners to take care of any production needs that our clients have,” said Halpin. “With Mark and Linda on board, we now have all of the pieces in place to plan and execute every facet of a production. The Silent House Group is now the one-stop shop for all the needs of unscripted and live entertainment.”
Silent House has long promoted itself as a “one-stop shop” for major touring artists in preparing their arena and stadium outings, with clients including Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Pink, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Bad Bunny, Cher, Florida Georgia Line, Selena Gomez, Tyler, the Creator, the Jonas Brothers and Khalid.
Silent House Productions is being decribed as “a full-service production company, creating premium unscripted and live event content across all media platforms” under Bracco and Gierahn’s supervision.
“I am so excited about this new chapter, continuing to work with my friends Baz and Linda, and the entire Silent House team, who I have known and respected for many years,” said Bracco in a statement.
Bracco’s credits include a long stint as VP of alternative series and specials for ABC, where he worked on the Oscars, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” and “Shark Tank,” among other shows. He moved on to most recently serve as EVP of programming and development for Dick Clark Productions, where he executive produced some of those same shows, such as the AMAs, BiBMAs and “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” as well as the Academy of Country Music Awards and NBA Awards.
Said Gierahn, “Silent House’s innovation and ingenuity has put them at the forefront of the ever-changing media landscape, and we look forward to helping them continue to exceed expectations.”
Gierahn brings two decades plus in music and television production to her new role at Silent House. She also comes over from Dick Clark Productions, where she was most recently EVP of production and oversaw shows including the Golden Globe Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” the Academy of Country Music Awards and the NBA Awards, as well as specials like “Volcano Live! With Nik Wallenda” and “Carol Burnett Show 50th Anniversary Special.” She began her career working on Viacom shows like VH1’s “Storytellers” and “Unplugged,” as well as music specials like the CMT Awards and “VH1 Divas.”
Alex Reardon, who recently came over to the company, is president of Silent House Studios. Partners Tamlyn Wright and Cory FitzGerald head up this division, described as the home of collaborations between leading artists and brands in “pushing the boundaries of the intersection between design and performance.”
Silent House Events is described as a corporate branch designed to focus on events for high-end business clientele, including such clients as CrowdStrike and Snap Inc.
