The Duchess also proudly wore her green and purple bow brooch, which is a nod to her patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and pearl drop earrings by Swedish jewellers In2Design.

At one stage during the tense match, she donned a pair of trendy dark shades to shield her eyes from the sun.

Meanwhile William coordinated perfectly with his wife’s outfit, donning a pale blue shirt with a grey suit jacket and chinos.

It’s the royal’s second appearance at Wimbledon this weekend, having attended yesterday alongside sister Pippa, 35, and sister-in-law Meghan Markle, 37.

Yesterday Kate made her way to the grounds early to attend a lunch for club members and former champions in her role as patron.

The Duchess looked glamorous in a bespoke green D&G midi dress, estimated to have cost £2,150, previously worn in 2016 on a visit to Kelowna, during a royal tour of Canada, and completed the look with a cream handbag from the same brand.

She was then joined by sister Pippa and sister-in-law Meghan Markle, with the two duchesses putting rumours of a royal rift to bed as they were seen laughing and joking.

Federer and Djokovic are playing in front of a capacity crowd packed with celebrities including Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, actor Benedict Cumberbatch and model Kendall Jenner.

Today was a family affair as well for the Middletons, as Kate’s brother James arrived alongside the royals with his girlfriend Alizee Thevenet.

The couple looked relaxed as they strolled hand in hand into the event shortly ahead of the Men’s Singles Final this afternoon.

James looked smart in a smart navy double breasted blazer, and blue striped tie. He paired the ensemble with white jeans, and finished off his look with a trendy pair of navy loafers.

Meanwhile Alizee wore a chic red and white outfit, matching a daring low-cut red shirt with a cool pair of high-waisted white trousers, with red button detailing.

Kate was joined by sister-in-law Meghan as well as sister Pippa yesterday as they all watched the Women’s Singles Final from the Royal Box.

Meghan was cheering on pal Serena Williams – who lost to Romanian Simona Halep – and opted for a crisp white shirt teamed with a pleated £350 Boss midi skirt, with an abstract blue and black pattern.

It was the second time in a week that the duchess attended to see her friend play, although her last visit caused controversy after bodyguards told fans not to take pictures of her, and she flouted rules by wearing jeans in a members’ only area.

The controversy came just days after Meghan and Harry faced a public backlash for insisting on keeping their son Archie’s christening completely private, and refusing to reveal the names of his godparents.
