However, he had his first role on the small screen working for Channel 4 in 1998.
The TV presenter started earning his fortune hosting The Bigger Breakfast, T4 and Control Freaks for the channel.
In 2004, he landed a job as the host of The X Factor spin-off show, The Xtra Factor.
Between 2004 and 2006 he presented the first three series of the shows.
Ben has also topped up his bank balance as a regular stand in host on This Morning from 2005.
Over the years, Ben has been the presenter on numerous shows including Soapstar Superstar, The Krypton Factor and Who Dares, Sings!.

In 2000, he joined the long-running morning shows GMTV and presented the entertainment section.
Five years later, he became a co-host on GMTV Today, appearing on Mondays, Tuesdays and alternating Wednesdays.
Since 2012, the presenter has stepped on screens to present the weekday game show Tipping Point.
In 2014, Ben became a presenter on Good Morning Britain and would regularly appear on the show until 2020.
Ben announced he would temporarily step back from the morning show last year to focus more on presenting Tipping Point.
Speaking to GMB presenter Kate Garraway on the decision to leave, he said: “I’m not off at all. We’re about to hit peak Tipping Point.
“Tipping Point series 11 and we’re all back in the studio, back socially distanced.
“The set’s had to change in order to get everybody up and running. I’m not going to be here but I’m going to be working, Kate Garraway.”
